I am not entirely satisfied with thekit and the finish but I like the coulourful and original livery.

The next Meteor will be the Airfix F.8 in IAF livery.

Looks great! A very clean built of a somewhat difficult kit.

Thanks a lot. It is more of a frustating kit than a difficult one, really.

Even more so when you happen to open the box of the Airfix Meteor F.8 just upon completing this one and realise it is waaaay better for almost the same cost on the Continent!

The only advantage the SH kit has over Airfix' is the originality of schemes. And even that will only be an advantage for weirdos like me! 😁

Great job of it! Nice to see something different.

Cheers!

That was the main reason for buying and building it!

I will definitely go more mainstream with an IAF Meteor F.8 soon.

But I do not exclude a third one with Egyptian markings and... I really like the Airfix boxart!!

Just love the Meteor...

Great work! Your weathering is on point.

Thanks a lot.

I struggled to keep it really restrained but still visible.

I find it much easier not to weather at all (which I do not like and therefore never do) or depict a heavily weathered airframe.

Very happy that you consider I got the balance right.

Lovely Meteor! I’ve been toying with doing this scheme in 1/48, having seen yours it looks like I might have to now! :D

Chris

Thanks a lot!

You definitely have to! 😃

I followed the instructions blindly but judging by the only colour picture I found it seems the grey should have had a blue hue. Mind you, it might be due to the colour film type as the sand looks greenish too.🤔
