The weathering looks really, really good John. This one's turning into a stunner of a build

the more I use oils the more I like them, I'd previously got a "£1 shop" set and wasn't too happy with the results, now that I've got some 502 Abteilung oils their so much easier to get the kind of results I'm after

I'm liking oils more & more too. I've got a Daler Rowney set which covers the basics, plus a couple of tubes of 502 Abteilung

After a base of MrSurfacer 1500 black primer the tyres were given a coat or MRP-173 rubber and the tread a dusting of MRP-114 extra dark sea grey…

…the hubs were painted with MRP-137 jet black and given a coat of gloss…

Another trick I'd forgotten. luckily I know a man with a plentiful supply

And, as I said last Monday, there you go again with the Starship filth. And it looks all the better for it. Great weathering as always John.

Oh, and not a tail sitter (Unlike my build, as I found out today!) Looking good on her feet, Mate.

The remaining bits and pieces were then attached to the aircraft.

I think for most of us one of the most satisfying parts of the build is removing the cockpit masks?

John, this has been a stand out build from start to finish. Your attention to detail and quality of building and painting is fantastic, as is the weathering,  and having one engine exposed really makes a huge difference to the look of the model. Very well done 👏

That's a really superb end result, John! Even by your usually high build standards, this is a really good one :) Thank you for chosing to build her with us, and don't forget to get some pictures in the gallery ;)
