HI all,  I have just completed this excellent Fujimi kit of this beautiful Ferrari creation and have used parts from the Hiroboy update set which included the etched spoked wheels. A bit out of my comfort zone but I needed a break from aircraft. The only real problems I had were in the fitting of the replacement wheels as the resin backpiece left them very wobbly and also prone to detaching from the alloy wheel hub not what a grumpy old git needed! Very pleased with the finish which is Revell Aqua Fiery Red with multiple coats of Mr Color GX 112 thinned 50/50 with Mr Color Levelling Thinners cut back each time with 800 wet and dry (wet). It took a very long time to fully dry hard but worth the effort. What do you think?spacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.png

What do I think? I think it looks great. The only thing I'm not sure about is something which isn't down to you anyway, so no criticism intended whatsoever, but the wheels just look a bit big for the arches to me. But everything else, and especially that paintwork, looks spot on to me.

Excellent way to rest from aircraft, you should take more holidays in the vehicle section :)

I tend to agree with @Spiny, the wheels could be just a tad oversize.  Nonetheless it's an excellent example of a wonderful car.  Congratulations on a super build!

I think it's lovely - gorgeous paint job, really very nicely done!

I agree about the wheels but they really dont detract that much from a stunning model, just a shame the manufacturer made such a mistake.

Top job!

Many thanks for your kind comments. I do not build many car models so for this ageing brain (75 this year) it is like starting afresh each time and even with a magnifying lens parts are getting too small! I have also completed a Lotus 49C at the same time as this model which took every known expletive to get done. Will post that one later today.

I wish the 250 was available in 1/12 at a reasonable price. I have the Revell 275, and it's reasonable enough that I can add plenty of detail and make it look good, but a 250 would have been the better choice I think.
