Gidday @Inv1nc1ble, I see that this is your first post so welcome aboard. I also see from the tags that this is an Airfix 1/600 scale model so is this a conversion of a kit? I'd love to see some photos of your model if you have some.

I also model in 1/600 scale, mainly Airfix ships and I'd like to do this one someday so naturally I'm very interested in what you do here. Regards, Jeff.

Gidday again, I'm not good with technology, phones etc. I take photos with a camera, load them into my laptop computer and then upload those I wish to post onto a Flickr account, which I find quite easy to use. My son had to set it up for me though. I don't know how to take photos with a phone, which in my case is a simple flip-phone anyway. So I'm afraid I can't help you there.

I take it you know of the different hull dimensions between the two ships, plus HMS Invincible didn't have the 6-inch casemate guns in the hull. I thought that the Invincibles were one of the best-looking classes of RN battlecruisers, along with HMS Tiger, but that's just my opinion.

Anyway, I'll still be here when you get your photo issues sorted. In the meantime, good luck with this. Regards, Jeff.

Yes, thanks You for your opinión i've already passed by that i just fixed the zones where the secundary guns of iron Duke are and cutted the hull to get the dimentions of the invencible

Yes, those are visible, although the second photo is a bit grainy, probably due to the enlargement. Thanks for posting them. Are you working off plans of the ship, diagrams, photos or a combination?

Regards, Jeff.

Try opening a FLICKR account (free) then upload photos to your flickr photostream (your photo album). Then if you go to the photostream page and right click on a picture you can copy (control C) a link which can then be pasted (control V) into your comments here. This will embed the photo into your comment so it is easy for people to see. Quick and simple.

Gidday, I use Flickr also (I think I said that earlier). 🙂 I find it easy to use, I get 1000 photos stored for free. HTH. Regards, Jeff.

Since a lot of time I wanted to post things here I have some interesting 1/600 builds, a Belfast conversión to Alberto Da Guisssano class light Cruiser (Italian) and a IJN Wakatake second class destroyer totally in 1/600

Finally!, alright, as you can see in the photo I have already cut and glued the hull of the HMS Invincible, I have also patched the holes where the secondary weapons go, since as you know the Invincible did not have these in that area and had an arrow-type hull I hope to continue advancing and will upload more photos.

You may wonder why it is painted, is because this was an old model that I had and that didn´t ended very well when I was just a beginner and so I replaced it with a new one that I adapted to the Battle of Jutland in 1916.

Sometime at your convenience are you going to show us?

Yes, I did mine as at Jutland too, back in 2017 (101 years after the actual battle. 🙂)

If you have a few model ships completed you might like to consider posting them (together or separately) in the "Ready for Inspection" section. I like the 1/600 scale as do a few others here, and it would be nice to see what you've done.

But no rush. It's gone midnight here and I'm off to bed.       Regards, Jeff.

P.S.

Those gaps abreast the aft turret originally had 6-inch casemate guns too, but the guns were moved and the casemates plated over because they were too close to the water and hence useless in any sort of seaway.

And well done getting the photos sorted. I'll tune in tomorrow morning. Regards again, Jeff.

Hello everyone again!, continue to advance with HMS invincible, as you can see I have already finished the decks, I have advanced with the bow superstructure, it has been a bit problematic to advance because I have been a bit busy with a few things. PS: a panzer IV sneaked into the image. 😂😂

Hello again, I have already finished putting the turrets of the middle section on the deck and I am also almost finished with the frontal superstructure, it would be almost done just to paint and make the cables and flags for HMS Invincible.

Hello again ehhm, I know it's been a while but I already have a new progress report on the HMS Invincible, I have finally finished almost 100% of the bow superstructure, as well as the tripod mast and the funnels, I will soon start the aft superstructure and here is the progress (for now)

I hope you are still interested...

Gidday, very much so. I'd like to have a go at scratch building her one day. Although her capabilities were soon superseded by later classes she was the first of the type (like HMS Dreadnought) and so to me is special because of it. Keep her rolling.       Regards, Jeff.

Hello, here is a little progress with the HMS Invincible, as you can see in the photo I have already finished patching the hull and it is already in shape, I have also (finally) finished the frontal superstructure, all that remains is to add the lifeboats, As for the stern, it is almost finished and only the mast and the boats need to be added.

Hi everyone, sorry for leaving this like that. I've been really busy almost all time so I forgot completely about some models, then I returned to modelism but forgot completely about Invincible but I'm back and here's the little process I've done lately

IMG_20250211_133401

Luckily all of the stuff I've done it's still intact, I covered some holes in the superstructure and in the main deck, and added the masts
