Wow! What a beast!

As a jet modeller (mostly) rigging/aerials worry me, you clearly have no issue on that front 😮

That is incredible model of a rather incredible aircraft. Absolutely fascinating.

Couple questions - what are those black plates behind each engine? Does not look like something very aerodynamic. And also do you have any interior photoes from you construction?

These are engine radiators. The maximum speed of this plane was 110 km/h, so this position probably did not mater.

I thought I took more pictures of the interior, but this is all there is for now

A masterpiece of rigging and construction. This one is a real showstopper in my opinion. Simply magnificent!!!!

Amazing modelling. The overall impression is quite overwhelming, and apparently you have spent a lot of TLC on the details as well, judging from the very realistic looking engines with their attached plumbing.

Congratulations on a museum class model!

Kind regards,

Enormous result! The dinosaur of multi-engined creatures displayed in in highest quality.

Absolutely fantastic work, and very inspiring! All those rigging lines make me feel far less intimidated by the few lines on the biplanes I'm working on.

It is also interesting to see the interior, and to see that despite its great size, it was mostly empty. The bomb load is surprisingly small.

The bomb load of B-17 is twice lower than that of F-16. And it's for short range missions. And I'm not talking about F-15 here. And BTW B-17 was also fairly empty inside :)

Amazing work! This was one of those "weekend" builds, right? Nah, just kidding. It would take me months to do all that rigging - well worth it though. Your model is outstanding.

Wow!!

I can't imagine the skill & determination needed to do that much rigging so well!

An incredible model.  Beautifully done!

As the others have said, very VERY nice build of a thoroughly intimidating subject.  I'd also like to add that seeing it "in living colour" makes me think it is some sort of "first generation Steampunk" imagination, rather than something that not only was actually done, but even worked!

I´d like to thank everyone for the nice comments! Looking at how quickly new models come out here and considering the very high level of modeling skill here, it is not at all easy to stand out here. So the good reception found here is especially honouring. Thaks again!:)

You did it amazing and original , great job .

I used the very vintage old original Russian kit of that plane for a whatif steampunk project last year .

Would you please excuse me if I show some pix here .
Interesting thing that the group of real build planes where not all with the exact same design
