cpoud117 Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 Wow! What a beast! As a jet modeller (mostly) rigging/aerials worry me, you clearly have no issue on that front 😮
Dennis_C Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 (edited) That is incredible model of a rather incredible aircraft. Absolutely fascinating. Couple questions - what are those black plates behind each engine? Does not look like something very aerodynamic. And also do you have any interior photoes from you construction? TonyW Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 A very impressive model indeed. First Class work.
kalle Posted February 11, 2024 Author Posted February 11, 2024 (edited) These are engine radiators. The maximum speed of this plane was 110 km/h, so this position probably did not mater. I thought I took more pictures of the interior, but this is all there is for now Edited February 11, 2024 by kalle 8 1
Armorrich Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 A masterpiece of rigging and construction. This one is a real showstopper in my opinion. Simply magnificent!!!! Cheers....Rich
Spitfire31 Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 Amazing modelling. The overall impression is quite overwhelming, and apparently you have spent a lot of TLC on the details as well, judging from the very realistic looking engines with their attached plumbing. Congratulations on a museum class model! Kind regards, Joachim
Toryu Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 Enormous result! The dinosaur of multi-engined creatures displayed in in highest quality.
SoftScience Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 Absolutely fantastic work, and very inspiring! All those rigging lines make me feel far less intimidated by the few lines on the biplanes I'm working on. It is also interesting to see the interior, and to see that despite its great size, it was mostly empty. The bomb load is surprisingly small.

And it's for short range missions. And I'm not talking about F-15 here. And BTW B-17 was also fairly empty inside Edited February 13, 2024 by Dennis_C
Navy Bird Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Amazing work! This was one of those "weekend" builds, right? Nah, just kidding. It would take me months to do all that rigging - well worth it though. Your model is outstanding. Cheers, Bill
Martian Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Beautiful, simply beautiful! Impressed of Mars 👽
kapam Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 Wow!! I can't imagine the skill & determination needed to do that much rigging so well! An incredible model. Beautifully done! 👏👏👏
gingerbob Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 As the others have said, very VERY nice build of a thoroughly intimidating subject. I'd also like to add that seeing it "in living colour" makes me think it is some sort of "first generation Steampunk" imagination, rather than something that not only was actually done, but even worked!
kalle Posted February 16, 2024 Author Posted February 16, 2024 I´d like to thank everyone for the nice comments! Looking at how quickly new models come out here and considering the very high level of modeling skill here, it is not at all easy to stand out here. So the good reception found here is especially honouring. Thaks again!:) Kk 2

Celestialsphere Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 Lovely model. You are a top tier modelmaker. Cheers Andrew
Killnoizer Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 (edited) You did it amazing and original , great job . I used the very vintage old original Russian kit of that plane for a whatif steampunk project last year . Would you please excuse me if I show some pix here . Interesting thing that the group of real build planes where not all with the exact same design Edited February 17, 2024 by Killnoizer 1
