tompiki_scalemodels Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 Hello everyone.๐ Trumpeter's late version Tiger I in 1/35 scale is ready to be primed. I can only recommend this kit. For reasonable money it offers a lot of details including zimmerit which is easy to work with because it is made of thin plastic sheets. Its perfect regularity and thickness are targets of criticism, but I chose the kit precisely because of it (really easy to work with). Figures are from HobbyBoss. The loader and commander have aftermarket heads from Alpine Miniatures (faithful copies from AliExpress ๐ถ). ย : ย Some inspiration: 5
Longbow Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 Nice build !! Iโve built a couple of the Trumpeter Mid tigers, and itโs a very pleasant build.ย Make sure you knock down some of the texture on the commanders cupola, Etc.ย Its over done on the molding.ย 1
Keeff Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Nice work ..... ๐ย I look forward to seeing what you do paint-wise now!ย ย Keith ๐ย 1

Looking forward to painting.
tompiki_scalemodels Posted January 5 Author Posted January 5 After a year of inactivity, I'm going to paint this cat. Today's spray job with black One Shot Primer from Mig. I'm very happy with the result, the primer created a perfect base coat. Only the airbrush got a bit busy with it, because this primer dries quickly, so before I sprayed the entire Tiger, I also had to clean the airbrush at least once completely. The next step will be preshading. ย 6
tompiki_scalemodels Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 (edited) The preshading is done. I used the white One Shot Primer from Ammo Mig for lightening. The next step will be the Dunkelgelb base color for camouflage and I will also start painting the figures. For the figures I will try using acrylic markers from AK Interactive for the camouflage patterns on the uniforms. ย Edited January 9 by tompiki_scalemodels 7

Stef N. Posted January 9 Posted January 9 That's looking very good. Going to be a cracker. ๐๐ 1
Rob Maynard Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Excellent work! I'm currently building a couple of big cats myself, will build them up until the weather picks up for painting! 1
tompiki_scalemodels Posted January 16 Author Posted January 16 (edited) Hi everyone, thank you for all opinions and kind words! Dunkelgelb base color coat is done and yet I have also tried to do some color modulation in order to distort the uniformity of the base Dunkelgelb color shade. I have usedย Ammo Mig acrylics. Next step is highlighting some details with AK Interactive RC markers and then Olivgrรผn & Rotbraun camouflage. ย Edited January 16 by tompiki_scalemodels 4 1 3
Muchmirth Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Nice work, the shading has really paid off. The kit looks very sharpe and detailed. ย Paul 1
tompiki_scalemodels Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 Thank you Paul! Hi everyone, the camouflage is done. I used Ammo Mig acrylics again. Sometimes I got a little bit off, but field camouflages were never completely perfect and I hope that the weathering process will mask some of the flaws. I will probably lighten the green and red-brown areas a little. Then I will do the decals and paint the details and tools. Tomas ย 6
