Will be glad to take part ! Please add me to the list

Heller kits were among the best when I started building plastic models in the early '80s, will be nice to build one now. I have a few of their good ones in the stash, like the Ouragan, Javelin, T-28, Magister...

Hi Giorgio,

welcome aboard! Some great choices there - I'd like to see the Ouragan built (hint, hint!) ;)

Cheers,

Mark

Open letter to @2996 Victor

Dear Sir, Madam,

I hope you are well. By a stroke of luck, I am well too.

Having just passed my Grade 7 with flying colors, I feel sufficiently emboldened to make a rude remark in this hallowed forum.

I just checked the list of mad people having entered this GeeBee, and I saw that although I was technically number 13, I had been demoted to number 12A.

I shall be so bold as to shout discrimination against garlic-chewing, beret-wearing and baguette-totting members of a funny-speaking BM minority, minority I am proud to belong to.

I wish to stress in the most forceful way, that the number 13, beside being my favorite number, is my personal good luck charm. That you are trying to deprive me of such an important part of my life means that you care little about the mental health (fashionable these days) of certain modelling minorities.

You are furthermore being very selective in your oppression. Take for example @JOCKNEY. He is at number 2, and has not been demoted to 1A, although he most definitely hails from a place where people speak and dress funny, and chew on some unspeakable sheep body parts while gluing bits of plastic!

I hereby demand to have my number 13 reinstated!

Non mais des fois!!!

JR

Dear @jean,

thank you most sincerely for your impassioned plea. I would like to reassure you that no form of discrimination was meant and further I would like to apologise from the heart of my bottom for any distress the removal of the number thir.....thirt.....thirtee..... - no, I can't say it - may have caused you. May I assure that the number thir..... - nope - that number has been reinstated into the list and I trust that your luck has been unimpaired as a result of this unfortunate occurrence.

Yours insincerely,

Mark @2996 Victor

I feel a T-28 coming on, too! Of course, any Heller lover who signs up for this - and therefore a possible Gallic lover - might like to sign up for my proposed French in Africa GB :). It’s easy - guide your finger to the link below ;)

Mmm.... I can smell the merguez sizzling on the griddle already ;)

Well I am signed up but thought Id like to ask you about your invisible link ?

Im surprised normally I can see most links from pretty much any site. I know that some links are disguised as a word so I even tried that approach. I cant even activate the link if it was an invisible one. I tried touching everything in your post to no avail Ive never run into one like this ?

Signatures do show up on an IPad Dennis. I’m using one now and can see the links to Martin’s GB’s. As stated above these do not show up if using a phone (for some reason)?

That makes more sense then.

No Thanks I still need to have a place to live. I just go with this motto “Happy wife Happy life”, better to keep the beast that is SWMBO’s anger asleep.

I’m in, I don’t have many wingy Heller things, but put me down for a Heller 56380 1/72 Ju 52/3m. The only other winged kit I have from Heller is the 749 Constellation, but I think it’s past the 25% mark. Will this mean another visit to EvilBay? There’s a lot of cool Heller kits I wouldn’t mind doing.

Cheers

Since this one begins next year, I could throw in with this: The NC-121K.

For what it's worth, the box is very distressed, but for what it's worth, the kit's in good shape.

The previous owner wrapped it well with bubble wrap.

And the bulk of it is still in the original bag.

I ponied up for the RVHP NC-121K kit which includes...

...Engines, cowls, tip tanks, and all the radar bumps and bulges. Maybe, between now and then, I can get all the wheel well, wheels, cockpit/nose, flaps, props and spinners, and other goodies from Plus Model.

Possibly dressed like this.

Count me in. Only Heller kit in the stash is a CL215 but it needs to be built.

The Heller CL215 is actually a really nice kit. Looking forward to seeing it.
