I forgot that I actually had completed something in 2022, Great Wall Hobby's fabulous 1/48 Sukhoi Su-35S Flanker E. I had been working on this one for most of the previous summer into winter and managed to complete it in late January. After that 2022 was a complete washout and I wouldn't complete another build until 2023!

It was worth all the effort as it won the 1/48 Class at the 2023 Scottish Nationals in Perth

Wow, to paraphrase an appalling man from that part of the world, quality has a quantity all of it own, that really is a special model, I have the Hasegawa 1/72 in the stash that I was going to build when 'events' put me off doing so

After 9 months work I finished this the week that Russia invaded. To say that the wind was taken right out of my sails would be an understatement. I immediately put it away and didn't look at it again until I was persuaded to take it to the Perth Show later in the year.

I'm currently working on the GWH Su-27 UB which will be Ukrainian, to "balance the books" as it were.
