Just puting this out there before anyone buys a HMD that could be affected.

 

From what I have read, this will be a problem for some HMDs not all.  I think that the HP G2 is one of them.

 

Hopefully some kind soul who knows how to program will release a driver when windows doesnt work for a given HMD.

Not to get political, but perhaps a few letters to say whoever was involved in the EU for getting apple to standardize the cables and not change them every 15 minutes(sarcasm) might be interested to know just how much E waste that this may create?  Anyone?

 

It looks like Win 11 23h2 is ok according to what I read on DCS forum but you may have to block automatic updates which is crazy from a security of your system point of view.

I read a comment that there may be some new HMD units coming in 2024?  HP and the other HMD manufacturers should supply drivers for their headsets(my 2 cents)

 

I've been waiting for years and ms pulls this. grumble
