Lightningboy2000 Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Here's my scale modelling events of 2023. Not a bad production line from me if I don't say so myself. In chronological order.... As my alter ego is Tigerboy, I have to build at least one Tiger Meet subject & here's the Canadian participant from 1969. Revell 1/72 with the Esci Tiger Meet decals. Sometimes I build other subjects & this theme in 1/72 will be a regular thing with me. 3R Models 1/72 Stryker M1128 MGS It had been well over 23 years since I last built a car & quite enjoyed this build. Part of a club build. Next up... This was another show purchase that was crying out to be built & was a challenge to mask up! Was great to see kit maker Answer from Poland had released this new helicopter, & as one had been on display at RIAT 2022 I had to order one as soon as the kit was released. [ This is something I'd wanted to do for a long time. Following on with the theme of Suffolk based fighter jets. Hobby2000/Hasegawa F-111F This was built to accompany my Ukrainian Su-22. ICM 1/72 Ural 4320 with the Armory APA-5D starter & refueller resin & etched add on. I've started to build up a small collection of 1/72 AFV's waiting to be painted up & weathered, so in between the fast jets this appeared. Then my alternate universe Swedish defence attack walker "Wolverine" finally found some sense of location at last, & my first ever attempt at creating a tree! And the year was rounded off with another Tiger Meet aircraft, this time from Poland. And finally back to WW2 with this Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Vc which was another competition build participant within our club. An excersise in how far not to weather a Spitfire, more of a how much fun can I have by brutalising the paintwork! And that I think is the end of my completed builds for 2023 & from where I'm sitting there's an F-35 that's in progress & "the shelf of good intentions" with 15 uncompleted models gathering dust. Those are going to have to battle it out with the kits I'll definitely be building next year. We'll just have to wait & see. Thanks for looking. Martin 16

Bertie McBoatface Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 That is a fabulous collection. What a lot of them and all so good. I liked the tigers and the Mustang Mustang (didn't get that until @Farmerboy gave it away. Lol.) and of course the entropy battered Spitfire. Excellent. 1

Sometimes get interesting results appropriating decals for something other than its original use. I still have to finish the Airfix kit they were nicked from! 😉 1

Cheers Bertie, glad you liked the Mustang Mustang. I believe there are a few actuall Mustang cars around that are painted up like that, have seen a more recent model with the red & yellow chequers on the nose. 1
