Hi All

First off, this is my favourite time of year on Britmodeller, I love the yearbooks and seeing everyone's model year in a single space, lots of inspiration to take me into the new year :)

I've been juggling a two year old, DIY, a job (unfortunately, got to pay the bills and afford new models) plus general life this year, but I've been pretty effective at all of that amazingly (considering I really didn't feel like I had my act together last year). In terms of models built from scratch, it's been one of my best ever years (22 vs 24 in 2021, although that is boosted by the number of cars and other smaller projects), and probably would have bettered that previous PB if I hadn't been "renovating" older AFV's. I think I next year I'd like to get more ships completed, albeit that will most likely be at the cost of the overall total. That objective will probably have to wait though as I'm really keen on the Axis/Allied twins GB at the beginning of the year, so perhaps I'll just end up with more planes this year :)Anyway, enough chit-chat, more pictures - here's all the models I've built from scratch this year (there's a bit of a Tamiya theme going on):

What a nicely varied line up indeed. The Marder jumps out, for me.

Blimey! That's a right production line!  :yikes:

All look fantastic and I have to say, I do like the Lancaster and the Marder ....

Thanks everyone for the kind appreciation so far. I'm agreeing with the models picked out so far, I think they highlight good examples of how far my building has come. The Lancaster isn't just the biggest plane I've built but the one I've been most happy with the outcome. Same goes for the Marder, I've done things on that I've not done before, and I think the extra technique shows.

Cracking work on all of them.

Bit gobsmacked to be truthful.

Cheers,

Alistair

Thanks Alistair, it's been quite a year, I've advanced my technique about as far as I think I can now. I'm pretty pleased with what I can put out there now.

Plenty of variety there. Now which is my fave...? It has to be the Marder for the classy weathering.

Thanks Bertie, that's high praise indeed, much appreciated. As with a few things, I took a long time to psyche myself up to it, but then wondered why I didn't do it sooner 😉
