Dunny
Hi All, Well another year has flown by, and in modelling terms I seem to have done about as much as usual! I kicked off January with Sword's lovely 1:72 Avenger, finished as a Mk.II of 853 Sqn FAA, flying from HMS Queen in 1945: Next up, Special Hobby's 1:48 Blackburn Roc, finished as L3114 of 759 Sqn FAA, based at RNAS Donibristle in November 1939: Next, Eduard's 1:48 Spitfire Mk.IIa, completed as P7840 'Mountains o' Mourne', 340 (Free French) Sqn, based at RAF Turnhouse in December 1941: Next, Airfix' lovely 1:72 Beaufort, completed as a Mk.Ia LR906 of No.2 Torpedo Conversion Unit, based at RAF Castle Kennedy in September 1943: Staying in gentleman's scale, Special Hobby's Douglas Boston, completed as Z2230 of 88 Sqn RAF, based at RAF Swanton Morley in July 1941: Next a leap up a scale with Airfix' 1:48 Boulton Paul Defiant, completed as an ASR Mk.I V1121 of 277 Sqn RAF, based at RAF Hawkinge in 1942: Next up was a 1:72 Airfix Bristol Blenheim Mk.IVF, completed as Z5955 of 248 Sqn RAF, based at RAF Dyce in early 1941: Next, Airfix' lovely 1:48 Avro Anson Mk.I, completed as AW565 of 71 Sqn RAAF, based at Lowood, QLD, October 1943: Next, the venerable Tamiya Brewster Buffalo, completed as A51-13 of 25 Sqn RAAF, based at RAAF Dunreath, WA, in 1942: Next, a 1:72 Special Hobby Douglas Digby, completed as 747 of 10(BR) Sqn RCAF, based at Gander, Newfoundland in 1942: Next my obligatory Heavy for the year, a 1:72 Wolfpack Design B17C, completed as a Fortress Mk.I AN530 of 90Sqn RAF, based at RAF Polebrook, Northants in summer 1941: A couple of late additions to the party. Firstly a 1:72 Airfix Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib, built as MP126 of 247 Sqn RAF, based at Eindhoven in December 1944: Next Arma's 1:72 Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc, built as MW367 of 1697 Flight Air Delivery Letter Service, based at RAF Northolt in June 1944: A FINAL late addition on New Years Eve, Airfix' superb 1:72 Bristol Beaufighter TF.X, completed as LZ407 of 455 Sqn RAAF, part of the Dallachy Strike Wing in 1945: That is definitely the lot, for a total of 14 completions! As always, I'd like to offer my thanks to all those who have added kind words and encouragement throughout the year. This site offers such a great source of knowledge, but more importantly support and succour for this great hobby. Thanks to you all and best wishes for the season! Thanks for looking, Roger Edited December 30, 2023 by Dunny Typhoon & Hurricane added, Beaufighter added

MRMRL
That's a stunning collection of aircraft, all beautifully finished. They are all so consistently well finished, it's difficult to pick a favourite, I'd probably lean to the Defiant, but only because I like the aircraft 😉

LorenSharp
All outstanding examples. Big and small and a few you normally don't see that much of like the Digby.

Bertie McBoatface
I'm seeing so many great 1/72 collections this year, and this is one of the best so far, that I am beginning to see the advantages of the old scale. No tedious detailing of invisible cockpits like 1/48, just crack on and build a collection that allows comparisons to be made across types. Having said that, your models could all pass for 1/48 anyway... Excellent yearbook!
