THE LAST STAND King Tiger II

Recommended Posts

Good Evening Pals,

after my little Interwar Tank i felt like doing something a bit larger, Mengs KT II came in handy, my first Meng and have to say good Quality all around fit

is perfect. I build it out of the box but the tracks which came for the 1st time from TREX and it won't be the last time that i will choose them.

My intention was to create a war beaten vehicle that also shows the lack of everything on the german side at the very end of the war....

Thanks for watching & comments!

Cheers

Hans

Outstanding! That really captures the look as a result of a lack of materials and a tank that's been hard worked.

The paint/ weathering effects are superb! 👌

That's a quality KT, Hans. Brilliantly painted and detailed. It really looks like an end of war bruiser. Bravo.👏

Hi Stef,

Many thanks for your kind words, glad you like it, much appreciated!

Yep my intention was to achieve the look of a war beaten machine....

Totally agree with @Stef N. your King Tiger looks like it's been through the mill.

The metallic look to the steel work is mighty impressive👍

An absolute stunner, thanks for sharing.

Hi Hans,

It is a magnificent KT, with a "FrankenTiger" look, it projects an aura of metal, heavy, as it should be.
Great job with the red primer.
Very good photos and well presented.
I finished my KT Henshel in tritone camo, even so I see similarities with yours in terms of techniques.

Cheers

Francis.👍

A cracking build. Excellent all round. The metal effects especially. Is this a specific tank that you have modelled it on ?

Hi Lee,

many thanks for your comment, i'm glad you like it, appreciate!

In this case i had no specific  tank in mind,  just a general idea of how it should look...
