Looks like a 3 week wait until SMW before I make the jaguar. I've already got Vallejo clear coat to find at SMW !

Looks like a great choice of model ! Thanks, that's good to know. I shall be building it up as a Belgian Tram, got quite few photos of similar vehicles from a recent trip to the ASVI museum in Thuin Its been bought to partially replace an Occre 1/24th Stuttgart model, already have their Berlin Tram and wanted something a bit more modern modern. That is now on Ebay, only so much time and money to spend on Tram models and the required travelling to photograph the real thing 😀 Edited October 15, 2024 by Tijuana Taxi 2 1
scautomoton Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 Finally sourced a 1/72 P.1154, it appeared on eBay at a good price so I pulled the trigger without hesitation. Also finally got a copy of French Secret Projects 1. Price was a tad steep, but certainly not the £hundreds that Muppets are asking for online. I may scan the stuff I want and sell the book on to someone else who needs it. I had won a Contrail Valiant B2 recently for the sun of £8! But when it came to dispatch the seller went silent, so I had to get eBay to refund me, tres annoying... 3

I bought both books way back in the heady days of Book Depository- let me know if there’s ever anything in Book 2 you’d like scanned. There are some fascinatingly hairbrained projects in there! Hadn’t realised they’re valuable and hard to find now.

Thanks for the offer, but I have both books 2 & 3, they're normal money online, and really available. For some reason book 1 is like hens teeth so people price it heavily assuming people will sell their Granny to buy a copy, I got lucky. 1
Whofan Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 My latest purchase is this nifty little set of stamps. I wonder if you can see why I would want to buy them?? Aye, the Post Office have released a set of special stamps celebrating the Who. Only 60 years since the Who began electrifying audiences with their wild stage antics - and yes, back in those days, when I first saw them and subsequently with Keith playing (last time I saw him in the Who was May 1971) watching them play was an extraordinary thing. I've seen some wonderful bands and artistes over the years, but in all honesty none cound top (for me) the Who live. The stamps in the pack are 8 first class with different albums, from My Generation to the latest, Who. You also get 4 stamps with 3 shots of the Who playing live from the mid '60's - including the iconic shot of Townshend spearing a speaker cabinet with his guitar on stage at the Marquee, and one shot of the band probably from between 1973 and 1976. I also picked up a set of postcards which have 13 in the pack, one for each of the stamps and the final one shows the strip of 4 stamps. These stamps now go in my collection of stamps (only a few sets, really) with the Queen, Paul McCartney, Rolling Stones and Iron Maiden presentation packs. 13
Biggles87 Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 Not my last, but next. I’ve pre-ordered an Italeri 1/32 Macchi Mc205 to accompany my 21Century ‘202. One of the french internet retailers was offering a 20% discount on pre-orders, it would have been rude to refuse. 3

593jones Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 Bronco 1/48 Tomahawk Mk.IIb from Ebay. I know about the shallow cockpit and the strange coloured markings, but I got it for £8.00, and I have decals in the stash to replace the kit ones. A result, I think. 2

If you're referring to the Chinese insignia some believe the upper roundels were faded. I agree they're definitely over faded on the decal sheet. However I do believe they were attempting to replicate this look.

The kit I got was the British Commonwealth Air Forces boxing, the national markings are rather bright for the period, and the yellow is too lemony. This was noted in the Britmodeller review when the kit was released. 1

bentwaters81tfw Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 Yefim Gordon's book on the Myasishchev's M4 & 3M Bison, to go with the Amodel monstrosity that arrived last week. Looks like I need a Master's in Gynaecology to build it. Luckily I have bookmarked the good General's build thread to ease the pain. 1
Des Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 From TEMU Magic Factory 5002 1/48 A-4M Skyhawk kit , lots of plastic and extra white metal/vinyl//etch/masks giving a whole host of options when building , had previously liked the look of the kit but not the price until a very good offer including VAT and with free shipping came up although noticed that having made my first purchase the prices on their site jumped considerably so not likely to become a frequent user unless their algorithm includes future special offers to tempt me back. Rob Sutto Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 Picked up some Bookazines from Tiger Hobbies with a Flory Fest discount last weekend: The Weasels one caught me by surprise (in a good way) when it arrived as it's about more than just the F-105, F-4 and F-16 - it also covers the Raven, Prowler, Growler, Tornado ECR and the RAF's ALARM Tornados. 5
