bapowell Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 (edited) Latest addition to my collection of 1/144 rockets: the New Ware Atlas Centaur SLV-3D Pioneer 10 Launch Vehicle. All-resin, 14-piece kit, crisply molded. Metallics with Alclad, and a couple spare decals to supplement. Sparingly applied enamel and clay washes. Scratch-built magnetic stand. Complete model is around 11". Thanks for looking! Edited November 29, 2023 by bapowell 19
RET Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Wow! - that's a real beauty - I love the subtle shading you've achieved on the white areas and the dull-shiney effect on the silver. Really nice. 1
2Step Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 nice build. I haven't dared to venture into resin for my rockets, I have a tendency to screw up with that material. ... and greetings to DC, I lived there for 6 1/2 years (well, worked, living in McLean) Cheers 1

Yeah, I prefer styrene but there's so much that's only available in resin. No choice but to dance with the devil!
