Hiyas. Does anyone have any good close-up detail shots of the British Terrier Armoured Digger? I've got what I can off the net but I'm struggling to find any real detailed close-up pics. Especially of the front with the bucket out of the way.

Also, Does anyone know how (or where) I might get some diagrams or schematic drawings of the thing?

Thank you. I have been to that site. Their model lacks much of the detail I am looking for.

That would be a way to get the model and then remove and correct detail and add detail as I don't think you will get drawings as it is an important in service vehicle and security of info is more important that model making.

Thank you. I have been to all these sites and I do believe I have enough to begin my build. I only asked about drawings and schematics as, though I understand the need for some secrecy about our armed forces vehicles, I figured if we had a model (that comes with detailed diagrams) of our main battle tank, then perhaps we had something about our engineers vehicles. But thank you everyone for looking.

Hi Kipsley please do a WIP on this build so we can follow along with great interest 👍

I do intend to do that. At the moment I'm just in the research and planning stage, waiting (impatiently) for the 1/35 M-24 Chaffee to arrive in the mail. It's expected on Friday. Once that is here, I can begin the build as the base of the Chaffee (wheels, tracks, and chassis) form the beginning of the Terrier (as they are remarkably similar in dimensions). Everything else is scratch built from then on. I have found a great picture of the shell of the Terrier sorted from BAE Systems own website. It a very detailed picture. I can see that the front armour has a 10 degree forwards slope for instance. Could not see that in other pictures as the front was always hidden by the blade and looked straight up and down. The intent is to build the shell in 1/35 scale as close as I can to the real thing. After that, it's just a matter of adding detail.

That's a very interesting statement. I'm guessing that you would disapprove of cutaway diagrams of the latest weapons (often freely-available and in the public domain), too?

Also, I'd have guessed that the chances of an engineering/recovery vehicle having top-secret equipment mounted on its exterior were fairly low.

Cheers.

Terrier was originally a BAES proprietary product.  It is now owned by Rheinmetall BAES Systems Land (RBSL).  They may be able to provide drawings but may charge a fee.  Anyone else producing drawings will technically be breaching their copyright.

This is their product page for Terrier. https://www.rheinmetall.com/en/products/tracked-vehicles/tracked-armoured-vehicles/terrier  There are some photos of the front of the vehicle with the bucket arms raised.  The downloadable PDF brochure doesn't have anything of use.  There is a Contact Us link.
