So we really were the unsung heroes of the bunfight! Thanks for all the votes everyone, we actually topped the count for STGBs.

Time to get those Hurricanes out of the stash and our aftermarket orders in!

Finally, anyone want to help keep this show on the road as a co-host (or two)?!

I'd give this a go if you'll have me, the idea of firkling around a whole heap of Hurricane builds has some attraction. :)

Steve.

Hi Gerard. My name seems to have fallen off the list. Still interested, still have 1/24 Hurri to build.

Cheers,

Chris.

I was thinking of a 488 Sqn Hurricane for the ANZAC GB, until I noticed this one. While I’m trying to avoid committing to too many GBs next year, the start date works nicely against the ANZAC end date, so count me in!

Have an Arma Eastern Front special boxing in transit, which means lots of resin goodies!

There's an Airfix 1/48 Hurricane Mk I Trop winging its way to me in anticipation of this STGB, though it looks like it'll be sitting on the pile for a while. I fancied one of those Arma Hobby Hurris, but I can't get my head around the price tag of £40+ I'm afraid!

I'm going to be pitching in with this:

It would have been my pick for Les Français en Afrique, but, hélas, that one didn't make it through the Bunfight, so here we are!

Please add me. I recently found the decal sheet for the Airfix 1/24 Hurricane in my box of decals which means....in my loft...there must be..

Thanks - Andrew

Sorry Chris, likely poor housekeeping on my part! I’ll add you to the list, and I’m very keen to see your 1/24 build take shape. 👍

Better to have started and not finished a GB, than not to have started in the GB at all is my moto! 🤣

Nice choice, keen to see a 488 Sqn machine. 👍

That will be a very welcome participation here! Shame the French in Africa GB didn’t get up, but that loss will be our gain!

I’m going to dig my Legato IIc with Kuttelwasher’s* markings out of the deep stash for this.

I picked up the Arma 1/72 Mk II A/B/C "Dieppe" boxing at Telford especially for this GB, so I'll be building at least one of the two kits from it here

Very nice James! Hope you got a bit of a deal? It looks to be a gorgeous little kit. I have both 1/72 and 1/48 Arma Hobby Hurricanes in the stash, and I’m sure we’ll see them plenty more in the GB once we’re building.

Indeed it is.  To correct the record, it’s Kuttelwascher, I left out the “c” in my post above.

It’s a great scheme - looking forward to seeing it.

I have three or four 1/72 Hurricane kits in The Stash, together with a 1/48 Airfix kit.

But supposing I wanted to go a bit bigger, up to 1/32...  What kit would the BM Massive recommend?  Revell?  Fly?    I've never built a Fly kit before.

You could, of course, build em both! 🤣

I’ve two Mk I Hurris that I had planned for this year but never got around to starting; a pre-war 111 Sqd rag wing and a late BoB tin-wing featuring the trialled orange fuselage band that Wingleader featured. These two are now slotted for this GB.

Terrific choices, especially the pre-war 111 Sqn machine, given 111 was the first squadron to operate the Hurricane. Welcome to the build!
