Once completed, it could be displayed in the Inspiration Gallery.

Thanks Enzo but I am not sure where I put it. However, as it won't be expected to run on a layout I should now be able to find some suitable wheels as they won't need to be metal to pick up the current. If I had not already made a start on the Kirk coaches I probably would sell them - one site is currently asking for £25 for the early ones and £40 for the later ones with metal wheels and buffers which several of mine are. I doubt I paid much over £5 for them back in the day.

I have three DJH kits.  Now that DJH have stopped production, these kits are going for silly money.  Literally three times what I paid for them...

yes, yeeessss, YES!

I draw the line at banging the table.

Now I know you're enough of an old hand at GBs to know what the 'model' answer is! But if that's not an option I especially like number 2. For all of them , I can see a problem with railway and aircraft scales, or a bit of a bodge.

1/32- Gauge 1 in railway so plenty available but my it would be big.

I've a feeling American O gauge is 1/50 which isn't far off 1/48

HO at 1/87 seems a stretch to 1/72 (not that it ever worried Airfix)

I think American N is 1/150 which isn't so far off 1/144 as a ratio and easier to fudge at the size. Plus the most viable given how big photo 1 would come out at.

If you were going for more purist, it would be scratchbuiid, or downloaded prints and resize them on the printer.

Oh go on,

All of 'em

And make @Enzo the Magnificent happy!

Hi Enzo,

I still have one of their catalogues, and having built both Keyser (K kits) and the odd Wills I rather fancied doing one of theirs - may be wrong but I seem to remember they did a Claughton and a Garratt (maybe the sole LNER one) and possibly a "Big Bertha", though I may be getting confused with another company who did loco kits but can't remember the name - I have one of their catalogues somewhere too. The ones I made were all mainly white metal which I could glue together, but making one that was mainly brass put me off in the end as I am no good at soldering, unlike Heather!

You are not wrong.  DJH did all of those.  The Claughton was available in both original and large boiler condition.  I have both, as well as a small boiler S&DJR 2-8-0.

Built or unbuilt? If the latter, well you know what you would say!😆

American O scale is 1/48, and American N scale is 1/160.

And I’ll definitely sign up for this GB - I can do kits or scratchbuilding.

Kits or scratch build? How about one of each? I'm sure our esteemed leader will be along to encourage that line shortly

Well, you talked me into it. 😉 There’s a number of things I need to build for my two cameo layout projects.

All the best,

Mark.

This is exactly the GB for non-railway modellers to enjoy. And I think you'd enjoy this, from what I've seen of your other work. Combination of scratch build and 3d printing I'd venture, but what scale?

Yeah I'll probably design and 3D print the T18 in 1/35 scale, there is a resin kit available if I'm feeling lazy tho.

My Japanese cameo is 1/80th scale on 16.5mm gauge track - what’s known as #16 scale in Japan. The other cameo is inspired by the narrow gauge railways of the Belgian Congo, and is HOn30.

I thought I'd put up my hand for this GB but apparently not. Ergo, I would also like to participate :)

Sir, with that profile picture you were always going to participate! Welcome aboard,

TBH since his Emmenence the incredibly trim and agile controller gave us the green light, I've stopped updating the list. As we're fast line, non--stop through bunfight central
