Actually, this would be a novel GB for me. It would make a change from the dozens of tanks that I've built over the years. In another life (about 40 years ago), I used to build model railways, and I'm sure that buried somewhere in a box, in some dark and dusty corner, there is one of the old 7mm 3H kits of a (I think) BR van, so add me to the list please.

Have we reached 25 yet?

John.

not 25 yet (or even 30) but into double figures already. Welcome, don't worry we can always add more carriages as required to fit everyone in- on a seat; bonus point for anyone who knows what PIXies are in railway speak!?

I'd love to see the 7mm wagon reduced from the cripple siding, sometimes known as the stash. Or if you've moved on there's plenty of military railway kits available nowadays.

I would choo-choo-choose this to vote for if it reached the bunfight!

Extra special mention for a pun like that!

This is a very dangerous website and should require registration and sign-in! I've spent far too long browsing it this afternoon😉

It was even more dangerous a few years ago as their primary business was brass pe. This was sold off and is now to

https://www.scalelinkfretcetera.co.uk/shop/

I have a number of these frets in my accessories file.

1829? I knew the Kitmaster original was old, but didn't realise quite how old:coat:.  I've think you['ve put down a clear marker if anyone wants to go earlier than that and get to 1825!

For earlier railways see

If anyone thinks that the Scale link site is dangerous then look at the other pages in small broke studios shop.

So, I've put you down for one loco and 9 carriages for a start- hope I understood the emoji aright.

If @Bobby No Mac is down for 10 build and I promise to build another 10 could we pretend we have over signed up?🃏

We're here to help!

Good luck sourcing one

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/kitmaster-4-duchess-gloucester-coronation-class--182031

I think I saw one once, strange airfix didn't take it on, and in turn dapol

Or if metal doesn't scare you

https://www.djhmodelloco.co.uk/product/k100-kit-lms-streamlined-coronation-class-4-6-2/

Guess you wouldn't need the mortising elements

So sir, all aboard?

There are a few Duchess kits around - none are likely to be exactly cheap, especially in 7mm scale

Sadly cost and space prohibit it for the time being

It's a big problem (see what I did there?), now I'm not saying that @Paul821 can't finish the 'Never Ending Diorama' in this GB but I had more in mind parts rather than the whole.

However a couple of ideas for others.

Would this be a case of providing the bullets but not actually pulling the trigger🤔

I figure I can scratch build the wheels and front tow hook ? I think possibly these were used to patrol NWE during the end of and after hostilities while occupation.

Absolutely allowed, as Gauge 1 is 1/32 in ''normal speak' I think it might be comparatively easy to source the rail related parts. I tried for something similar in the Vignette GB long ago

It ended badly but that was because I got carried away with the signal box!

So, hopping on board sir?

It's not the material which scares me but the price!

Don't count me in yet.

That's eye wateringly expensive!

Yes

http://worldofmicromodels.nl/database/micromodels-railway/m-1-duchess-class-lord-collingwood-super-pacific/

it's in card and very small but could be built as part of this GB. There are many other card models of railway subjects available.

Haven't built a card model in 50 years? :hmmm:

Shame they're all of the non=streamlined version.

Of course, thirteen years before 1825, saw the first commercial steam railway running at Middleton in Leeds. The Middleton Railway being the world's oldest continously running railway (from 1758), firstly on wooden rails, and then after 1799 on iron rails.

Now Salamanca would be an interesting scratch build project, not so keen in the cogged rails and wsheels though.

This looks like another cunning plan to stop me going off the rails.............

Now my favoured Railway modelling genre is 1930's London Underground and unfortunately, the maker of most appropriate kits, Phil Radley, sadly passed away last year. His business is due to be resurrected but it hasn't happened yet.

If Radley Models springs back to life than can you count me in with a Standard Stock 4-car set.

Now if it hasn't by then, are trams tenuous enough to be included?  I have plenty of Tower Models London Trams of that era if so.
