That is an excellent model, and the figures are very well painted also. Nice work.

Hi Arjan,

A great work with an unusual subject, very well documented with real photos, and well accompanied with its figures.

Cheers

Francis.👍

Thanks a lot for the kind words and positive response ! I hope to post some better pics soon. As you may have gathered I prefer modelling subjects from my home region which is Zeeland. I'm always surprised by the general lack of knowledge about/ interest in,  operation Infatuate. Apart from landing craft, this operation involved a lot of amphibious vehicles  which makes a nice change from other theaters of operation. I have just finished building Gecko's relatively recent 1/35 LCA kit and I'm looking forward to Takom's  impending release of a brand new M29C (Weasel) kit. Also, I still have to finish some LVT-4 models I started working on years ago. Fortunately, a new,  beautiful 3d  1/35 Polsten gun will be available shortly which is good news because the old resin Resicast Polsten leaves a lot to be desired (in terms of both accuracy and especially general dimensions).

Regards,

Nice work Arjan! 👏

You've done a great job on an unusual AFV .... brought to life with the figures

Excellent work Arjan- the figures really set it off, makes me want to build one.

A worthy stable mate to the LCA

Thanks gentlemen ! It would be interesting to see you build one Rob, you and your fellow naval modelers here are very good at creating scale "water". Modelling water has always been something way outside my own comfort zone. For those interested in building a "British" LVT-2 I will create a thread in the "in progress" section to briefly outline the required modifications . By the way, Italeri also offer an LVT-2 kit with the original unarmored cab. Both versions, with and without the armored cab,  were used by the 79th Armoured Division in Holland. I have built both versions but haven't quite finished the unarmored version.

Regards,

Arjan

Very inspirational build, Arjan, for my Dragon 1:72 version.
