She is done.....

The buildlog is here:

In there you can read all about this kit. The flaws and the difficulties.

This was, by far, my most challenging build so far. I think the result is fairly decent but there is alot that could have been done better.

Thank you all for taking the time to read trough my post.

All feedback is much appriciated.

That's a really great model Maddoxx, you've done a great job, especially like the side view, the ''Schürzen'' are looking fantastic....mud & rust effects are pretty nice too...

Cheers

You should be very proud of that finish. For a kit that fought you a lot of the way it really ended up well. (I thought it was going to hit a wall at one stage). Great whitewash and dirt effects. Well done mate and a great build log too.👍👏

Fantastic work!

The build log was informative about the build and problems you had and was entertaining at times too.

The finish/paint/weathering effects are superb .... as usual! 👌👏

Superb end result on what appeared to be a challenging kit. I especially like the mud effects on the Schurzen plates.

Great job 👏

Congratulations on getting this over the line and making a superb job of it!

Its certainly been worth the struggle and from the finish I'd never been able to tell it fought you all the way.

Not only great modelling but great perseverance too!

Tremendous work. Great detail. The cam and weathering looks just as it should.

Unfortunate that so much of that interior is hidden but a transparent hull would make cam and weathering a bit tricky...............

Hi Maddoxx,

A difficult "birth" of an unnecessarily complicated child (all together, let's give thanks to Border Model...), but in the end, you finished and quite successfully,
I think the same thing happens to all of us, with some models that we are not very satisfied with, for various reasons, but that in any case, they have been useful for our learning, and without a doubt with a facet that is always with us, but hidden, it's about all the mistakes we made, and that were saved in our way of working, knowing that it didn't work for us, or not in the way that the YouTube Master made it seem so cool and easy.
Thus, the next construction will be "easier", because the path to success will be straighter and more illuminated.
Not to mention, all the experience accumulated in each finished kit.
On the other hand, some photos seem a bit blurry, it could be my eyes or the monitor.

Cheers

Francis.👍

Woooow just brilliant. Love this one. Gonna start calling you the Flying Dutchman man! I’d gathered from your other thread that you had just finished another.
Love it, wonderful build, very detailed and precise looking, the weathering is lush and your photos are great.

As I said in your WIP, you managed to overcome all of the problems and produce a really fine model. The cammo and weathering are exemplary. Great work all round.

An outstanding result from an outstanding modeller. Excellent weathering style, by which I mean it's what I was never quite able to get right. 😁

Are there any more StuGs coming along soon?

Still got 2 in the stash. Another G and a B however, one is from Dragon, the other from Miniart so i need to gather some courage first 😉

Tnx for your kind words.
