Here is the first of at least four intended models of the DC-8. It is a DC-8-52 flown by Air New Zealand. It was only used for a little longer than one year, because this aircraft was then destroyed in a training accident. See more here: ZK-NZB Douglas DC-8-52 (aussieairliners.org)

The kit is a resin kit by Kurt Lehmann's Authentic Airliners with decals by Nick Webb (classic airlines).

The white was painted with Mr. Hobby by Gunze, the metallic surfaces with different shades of MiG Ammo and AK polishing paste and some powders.

Hope you like it!

Greetings from Germany,

Norbert

Absolutely gorgeous Norbert. Really looking forward to seeing this at Telford.

By the way, why do you want three more????? :-;

Hi Andy, yes, two of them are already in the production line, a DC-8-33, a DC-8-73 and finally a DC-8-62. You see, not boring at all!

That is very impressive. I well recall this accident, I was 11 years old, one of the survivors was a relative, cousin/uncle of a school mate of mine. This early AirNZ/Teal scheme is very attractive & you've done a super job on it. 👍

Steve.
