andyh59 Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 My second rendition of the Focke Wulf Ta152H this is the H-1 version from the Zoukei Mura company. This kit is also an OOB project, although compared to my previous Hobby 2000 build, was a bit of a nightmare. For a 1/48 kit it seems to be over engineered, probably because it's a down scale of their 32nd kit!! As with my previous build I used the Quinta 3D decal set and Reskit wheel set plus Quickboost exhausts and lots of cussing!!! I had intended to have the cowlings open and detailing the engine, however due to grief it caused me trying to get the engine and accessories 'shoe horned' into the fuselage I decided against that option!!!! I had to leave so much of the interior detail out it left an engine missing parts, probably down to my poor build. The detail in the kit is great but unfortunately so much is lost when everything is built up, unless you opt to do the skeletal version shown on the side of the box. Accuracy wise the ZM version is probably more accurate than the Hobby 2000 kit especially around the rear fuselage/fin area, the Hobby 2000 kit being too wide which results in an overly thick fin. The machine portrayed is, the well known, Green 9 Wrk. No.150168, Stab. / JG. 301, Neustadt - Glewe, April 1945. Apologies last image is unfortunately out of focus!! Thanks for looking.....................Cheers Andy 25

Duncan B Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Looks great, shame you had so much trouble with the build (although it doesn't show in the end result). Duncan B 1
georgeusa Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 I have the 1/32 kit. And, Zoukei-Mura kits are over-engineered on purpose as about half of the detail they provide will never again see the light of day after the kit is built up. Their philosophy is to show you how an aircraft was built. I especially like when you put the engines together and the actual engine cylinders are portrayed on the inside of the engine parts. Most of the time I will even paint them just cause they are there. And I also agree that aligning everything perfectly is hard to do and if it is in the least bit off, it really shows up later on in the build. However, from the appearance of your finished kit, it looks well built and is extremely well finished. I am glad you shared it with us. 1
