andyh59 Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 This is the first of my Focke Wulf Ta152s, it's the long in the tooth Trimaster / Dragon / Italeri / Hobby 2000 kit. Although old it has stood the test of time really well. I opted to build the H-0 version which entails filling some underwing inspection panels and scribing (badly!!) a larger panel. This is shown on the instruction sheet in 1/48 allowing the making of a template. Two small circular panels also require filling on the upper wing, this then converts the H-1 back to an H-0 model. The kit was built virtually OOB, with the addition of the Quinta 3D decal set, Reskit wheels and EagleCal decals, I wasn't happy with the kit spinner shape so replaced it with one from the Eduard Fw190D-11 kit. It appears this particular machine wasn't fitted with a pressurised canopy, so Eduard to the rescue again I used a canopy from their Fw190 family, I chose not to have the cowlings open spoils the lines of this sleek looking machine. This particular machine is Wrk No 150007, Stab./JG.301, Stendal Germany 1945. Many thanks for looking Cheers Andy 23
Natter Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 That's really, really nice. Some cracking paintwork on a well built model. 1
Erik Leijdens Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Great work there Andy!! Have Dragon box eyeballing to me from the stash. Looks like I can use yours as how to do it. Fantastic model! Erik 1
Duncan B Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Great work, I have one in the stash too so maybe should get on with it. Duncan B 1
georgeusa Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 I just looked at your Zukei-Mura build and that is was great. I think this one turned out even better. I think the presentation of the kit and the paint job is done exceptionally well. Out of the two, this gets the nod as the best. That is not to say, the ZM is a bad build, there is just great and then greater. Thanks for sharing both. 1
