:hmmm:   Not sure if the forum software allows uploads of anything apart from graphic files.   I'll look into it.

Failing that, you could alway stick it in a WeTransfer link and post that link instead. It's safe, secure, free, and the link expires in a week. That should give plenty of time for those interested to grab it

Stash reduction? I don't even have all those kits in my stash yet that I plan to build in 2024 :giggle:

Well, after all the ups and downs along the way, it turned out better than I expected it to :)

Gutted that the Track day GB was a DNF in the end, but I have 4 GBs to have a go at least. Plus I have all the kits in the stash, so it's a good stash reduction as I'm going to need to live to at least 3 figures to do them all 🤣

A bit of overlapping in the GBs, but nothing too serious hopefully

Asia, (1/24th Tamiya Nissan skyline R34 V spec 2 is my choice)

Baby Boomers 1946-1964 (Mister Craft 1/24th,  Talbot Lago, and Alfa Romeo Alfetta F1 cars)

Classic Airfix (1/32nd, Jaguar 420 and Ford 3 litre GT)

Golden age of transport 1918-1939 (MiniArt 1/35th,   British 3 ton coal lorry)

Ian :)

For 2024, it looks as if I am not going to have to buy any kits, and hopefully it will result in a net reduction in stash size (one can only hope!)

Allied/Axis Twins- Azur Maryland,

Baby Boomers- Hasegawa Neptune with Blackbird Models conversion to get a RAF MR1

South of the Rio Grande- Academy A37 Dragonfly

Classic Airfix- Puma

Should keep me out of mischief.

Nice list Corsairfox. But I don't think any ukrainian company make a PZL P-23 KARAS. There is a Heller kit and very good IBG kit (from Poland)

I shall try to build one model for each GB with a few notable exceptions being the Frog squad, Airfix and Tiger builds for which I have at least three kits.

I need to go shopping for F84, F86 and M3 builds but otherwise the stash shall provide.

looking forward to 2024.

Now I just need to catch up with 2023 :)

   That has been my ambition ever since I became group build moderator.  Sadly, I have never yet managed it.  That's certainly my own fault for building ridiculous amounts in each GB.    But it looks like this year I may well succeed.

Sat with time to kill waiting for a delayed flight in Pokhara, so a chance to update my spreadsheets 😁

It looks to be a very good year panning out for me, just hoping I can find sufficent time or mojo reserves!

Current ideas:

WW2 Twins - F-Toys Me410

F-84 STGB - Duo in Greek schemes

Baby Boomers - BAC Lightning with engine bay

P-51 STGB - too many options to choose!

Golden Age of Transport - Hungarian Red Army 1919 Fokker DVII

Tiger Tank STGB - Fall of Berlin diorama

NATO 75th Anniversary - TBC

US Navy - HRP-1 USCG

South of the Rio Grande - Peruvian P-47D

D-Day 80th Anniversary - TBC

Project Cancelled - He-162D

Asia - North Korean MiG-15s

F-86 STGB - F-Toys kit - UN scheme

The Few - TBC

Made in Ukraine - TBC

M3/M5 Stuart - TBC

All in 144th of course, with vignette or diorama bases to suit.

Looks like being another busy year next year with good opportunities for stash reduction.

My plans for 2024 at the moment are:

WWII Twins - Blenheim IVF, the MPM kit

Frog Squad II - Canberra B(I)8

Baby Boomers - Tarangus SAAB JAS 32 Lansen

P-51 STGB - 4th FG

NATO 75th Anniv. - Harrier GR.5. Revell boxing of the Italeri kit

US Navy - Hasegawa F4U-1

Classic Airfix - Bristol F2B

Asia - Hasegawa Kawasaki Ki-45 “Nick”

F-35 STGB - Italeri RAAF 3 Sqd. F-35A

F-86 STGB* - something from the Korean War Academy, Fujimi or Airfix

Made In Ukraine - Roden LaGG 3

I have all of these in the stash except the P-51 as I used up my Mustangs in the last STGB so will need to put in an order.  I have a self enforced rule to only use whats in the stash, but I can break it for Mustangs!  Lots of decals to use up.  Also will be ordering after market goodies for the other projects shortly.

*The Sabre I’m not certain of as I have a trip away booked for around that time.

Well, given that I'm generally slow my potential list is going to be rather shorter than those of others. Right now I see me contributing to the South of the Rio Grande GB, F-84 STGB, F-51 Mustang STGB and the F-86 STGB. That'll suck the sap from my modelling mojo ;). More specifically I reckon it will shape up as:

South of the Rio Grande - it could be a number of possibilities (including F-51D, F4U, DHC-2, Ouragan, Meteor)

F-84 - Greek F-84F and maybe an ANG F-84E

F-86 - a VU- FJ-3D Fury

F-51 - not sure as it depends on the mythical and mystical potential release of an Arma Hobby D/K. I have a number to build but I'm resisting - maybe wrongly - the urge to use some of the Tamiyas I have on the shelf.

If I get those done plus a couple of other projects that I have in mind, I'll be happy! Of course, I could wake up tomorrow and have another idea!! ;)

I'm also mulling over the thought of wrestling with an Emhar FJ-4 (1/72, of course!) to build a VU- machine. Am I mad?! My first attempt a few years ago nearly resulted in it nose diving in the bin! ;)

Given that the big ‘C’ has given me no clue to life expectancy I’m playing really safe with just one group build initially and then we’ll see how we go!

frog squad 2 - Novo Javelin (5 sqn)

This should combine my 5 sqn stash and a group build.
