Looks like another busy year!

There are seven each of GBs and STGBs.  However, if there are not enough proposed STGBs, the balance will be given over to standard GBs.

There are two Classic GBs;  FROG Squad and Classic Airfix.

There are also three Historical GBs this year:  NATO 75th Anniversary, D-Day 80th and a commemoration of the start of the second world war (aka "The Few")

Add to those the usual three blitzbuilds and a KUTA.  They should keep us out of trubble...

Please note that the dates are provisional and can be tweaked to adapt to circumstance.

Is it realism or pessimism that I looked at the kuta dates first? Frog classic, airfix classic, kuta sorted 😁

I know this is jumping the gun but if the early and late GB gets through I think a lot of of us will need an extended period as it's effectively a double build.

Every confidence in your skills with the spreadsheet @Enzo the Magnificent

Ah true but there are options to reduce it to a single build. You could work with someone as a team. That or you could do two schemes on different sides of an aircraft, armor, locomotive, or ship. If you have questions about subjects please ask, Im usually quite lenient when it comes to rules.

That's an interesting thought.   I might be able to give it 1.5 times the length of a normal GB, depending on where in the year it falls.  There are a number of weeks where there are nine concurrent GBs.  I would like to avoid going to double figures...

Just go ahead and sign me up to GBs 1,4 and 5 and STGB 2 and 6... Then I'll start models in GBs 2, 3 and 7 and actually finish one in STGB 4.

I can’t believe it’s almost that time of year again. If my many proposals I think the Gladiator STGB and the deathtraps GB are closest to my heart. That said I would really enjoy building the odd tiger, as although I do have three in the collection they’re all in braille scale plus I haven’t built an Elefant in decades so that would be good too.

As usual I will attempt to enter them all. Only I will try to stick to a one build per GB policy (with the obvious possible exception) and not repeat this year’s somewhat frustrating experience.

Struth, that's me hosting from Jan to September next year, if the Ukrainian GB comes in that will be a full year of hosting !

I'd better put up another shelf for all the unfinished builds that's likely to follow

Really looking forward to this year's bunfight

Cheers Pat

You know you could make things very easy on yourself Enzo?

You could just make KUTA the sole GB from 01 Jan 24 to 31 Dec 24.

Cheers.. Dave

Despite only (!) signing up for six Group Builds this year, they have all seriously overlapped, so much so that I have yet to even put up a picture of the kit for I feel Deserted GB. Of the prospective 2024 GBs,I only signed up for four I think, to give me some breathing space. Hopefully the spacing might work out better next year. Still I have managed right builds with one more at the painting stage and one underway. At present Mrs T has dragged me away, and I have to say we have found some very nice Alsatian wines, and Meteor beer is not bad.

That seems like a very valid reason for being away from the workbench.

Thank you, we have just got back.  Despite a drive yesterday from Obernai to Calais, and then up today from Dover to Leeds, quite keen to some modelling done, although I think that may fade as the evening progresses. I am not as young as I think I ought to be.

Looks like lots of fun!  Airfix Classic is a given, as is D-Day, NATO and Might try the KUTA.  Can I assume The Few is in reference to the USMC?

My error...Battle of Britain.  Would that include any film representations?  I could build the Buchon Messerschmitt finally...

Buchon Messerschmitt would be very welcome in the 'it was in a book, film etc ' GB. It would get a lot of love from me!

Yes...and isn't there a GB dealing with Central and South America?  Oh please...

Would my Bell Huey STGB not have stood a chance to get on the calendar? Just curious.

The STGB bunfight is always a far smaller affair than the 'other' Bunfight, I don't remember seeing your proposal in the chat area, but I am overdo the opticians. Some years there isn't even an STGB bunfight so make the 30 supporters and it's a very good chance I'd have thought. Not my scene but there's usual a bit of love for whirligigs!

Theres always a chance with STGB’s, make the 30 interested party number and you're likely a very good chance. As Mjwomack says some years there arent enough to even have a bunfight so all get a slot in that case.

Just a quick question? Does Novo make it loosely a Frog kit?

Simple answer:   yes.

The original Frog Squad GB had the following rules.   I would imagine they would still apply for Frog Squad II.

Absolutely your Eminence, it will be the same rules as last time, just not sure if @Rabbit Leader & @vppelt68 are able to be persuaded to assist with hosting this time :fingerscrossed:

Cheers Pat

Me, well if I recall correctly I was very much an innocent bystander back then 😇. I'm honoured to be called back to duty with you two in The Big League, and accept the challenge 😊. V-P
