1/8 Traction Van VAREVOGN

PROPELLER

Recommended Posts

Come back to the bench!
1982, I bought the HELLER kit, first assembling. Forgot somewhere during 41 years...
2020, I decided to transform this wreck to a "coupé", a wonderful car.
Done:

Today, another wreck and another project: Transform it to a very rare "van", make by a Danish coachbuilder: VAREVOGN.

Note this make is still on the Danish market and may be on another ones around this country...

A pure "exotic car as I do love:

Cutting it's not easy, expanding not more easy!

Surgery, butchery? Both...

Putty, sanding to come, a lot of sanding...

Not workable but still looking like it does work. Complete with rain gutter above it. Looks good to me.

I hope you will find your motivation soon, because I love seeing your updates, Dan.

I enjoy seeing your builds very much.  The end results are always something very special (as is the case here), but I think I enjoy watching your process even more.  It's interesting, helpful, and inspiring to see how you bring these together!

Cheers

A very interesting vehicle, and a variant I didn't know existed. The Citroen Traction has always been my favourite vehicle of all time since I knew a guy at college who had one when I was a teenager.

A car I've always wanted, though looking at the money they go for these days I'll probably have to settle for a model!

Your version, c'est magnifique Monsieur 👍

You may not be totally happy with it but I reckon it's a superb conversion.  Beautifully executed and finished, it's been a pleasure to watch it come together.  Above all it looks "factory" which is about the best compliment anyone can make about a model conversion.

Not "about", it's the best Ned, thank you very much!

Just a last pic to show the real color of the model:
