1/72 Harrier gr.7/9 detonation cord

Hi all.

 

Do you know of any 1/72 solutions for the Harrier gr.7/9 detonation cord?

The decal in the Airfix kit is the wrong color and there is no engraving in the canopy.

I can’t find any decals or vinyl in this scale. Let me know if you know of any after market solutions og DIY methods.

Hi,

 

I don't know of any other 1/72nd scale MDC decals. Could you scan the kit decal cord, correct the colour in Photoshop or similar and print your own?

Form the MDC using very fine wire (the type in speaker cables for example) and glue into the canopy using a PVA type adhesive.

 

You can make a simple forming jig using a sheet of balsa and sewing pins,

I bought some 0.1mm enameled wire for some other geeky project but on seeing just how fine it is, I instantly worked out it would be handy for models too.

Link is here. I'm pretty sure they have all manner of diameters.
