Looks great Craig. I like the weathering, it really helps show off the ruggedness of the P-40.

Missed the party Craig, but can admire the result. Looks fantastic! The freehand painting is great too.

The hair antenna is something i did too on my Corsair: I noticed that when humidity changes a lot the hair extends or shrinks a bit, quite interesting to see. My wife‘s hair was more extreme in this behaviour than my daughter‘s hair, so I switched to daughter hair. Will also turn grey much later 😂😂😂

Thanks Sam, really glad that you like her.

Interesting difference between wife and daughter hair, I don't have a daughter to test that with and my son's hair is about the same length as mine and he lives 4,500 miles away!

Thanks James, much appreciated mate.

There is a rugged beauty to the P-40 from the E model onwards isn't there, and it's nose is perfect for artwork and shark mouths.

There certainly is. My favourite is the F/L. Mainly because of having seen the one at Duxford so often.

All three of mine have completely different hair. The eldest daughter has really thick dark blonde hair, that's also a bit frizzy like mine. The middle daughter has thick, straight, brown hair, and my son has fine, straight blonde hair. I may have to collect samples for some scientific research into who's hair is best for aerials

I had the pleasure of seeing this in reality at the weekend, it's even better than it looks in the photos

Beautiful job Craig,10/10 on that hand painting too!

Thanks Steve, I really appreciate that, though I think that you (and others) have been far too kind about my hand painting.

A lovely build and great painting Craig.  It's so annoying when you find out a decal sheet has a lot of errors and it seems that so many do.  As others have said, you have done a grand job of painting the skull, fez and other details. :like:  I will wait for the Eduard P-40 kits to come along before I build one.

Thanks Bob I appreciate that.👍

It never ceases to amaze me mistakes that some kit/decal makers do on their sheets, it really does make you wonder what pictures they have worked from.

I'm really looking forward to the Eduard P-40's, if they are anything like as good as their latest kits (and I believe they will be at least that good) then I can see myself buying quite a few of them.

Great execution and a wonderful result. Love the scheme. Goes to show the joy you can get from the older kits. Really looks the part.

Thanks Ray, I really appreciate that mate.

You're right that a decent result can be had from an older kit and that they are worth the effort.
