Also got a ship in 1:450 (Revell HMS Victory) which needs to be build, if it helps :)

Why not. I’m thinking anything smaller than braille scale should qualify.

  • Marklo changed the title to Small is beautiful, beyond Braille scale, 1/144 and other forgotten scales. Now at 30 yay!!!

As an N gauge railway and 1/144 a/c person I feel obliged to go smaller, so got my eye on some of the Hasegawa 1/200 stuff, probably a DC-10; referred to as 'an unlucky airliner' by the aviation airliners I worked with.

@Marklo, since the Gladiator STGB did not get through, I will switch over for a couple of build here. Got a 1/144 Hampden and RCAF search and rescue Lancaster in the stash.

I’m considering printing my Saunders Roe and Airacomet in 1/144 I may even do my own mini dawn of the jet age

Im happy this one got through. I need to find something in 1/144th or 1/200. Im thinking of a Hasegawa C-130 in 1/200 right now. If I can find a B-36/47/52/58 Victor in 1/144 then they will jump the line.

I have a ridiculous amount of 1/144 kits in the stash so will definitely be in this one. Absolutely no idea which one it will be though (trying desperately to ignore my inner @Enzo the Magnificent monologue at this point!).

The question was asked a while ago with no response, whether small scale ships were also eligible, I am assuming so?

Further to the above, what would be considered 'small scale' with ships?    1/600?    1/700?   Or smaller?       Thanks.

Regards, Jeff.

My thinking is that anything below 1/72 or smaller was eligible, which probably means that 99% of ship kits qualify.

One of my favorite movies is Jimmy Stewart’s Strategic Air Comand. Caracal did markings for the B-36 and C-124 featured in the movie and I have the appropriate Roden kits…

I saw this last year, imho it’s one of those movies that’s so bad it’s good 😄 loved how they ended with the B47 too.

I like the movie but more importantly its a great film if you wish to build these kits. The study of the aircraft is quite detailed.

I would love a peacemaker but it’s unfeasibly large for me, hmm I’m wondering how big it’d be in 1/288????

I have also been threatening to Scratchbuild a Zappelun stakjen in 1/144 for a long time…
