I can hear my wallet groaning! Seriously that’s great news, I’ve wanted to do an RAF Washington for ages.

£40 pre-order from the Big H seems very reasonable for such a big lump of plastic. I may have to buy one.

I'm no expert, but the B-29 kit looks much more accurate than the B-50D kit I had some years ago.

Pre-ordered the Washington and now I've just gone and pre-ordered the B-29A just because I like the Thumper scheme. Like I need any more kits. Sheesh!

 

Haven't had a 1/72 B-29 since my dad built me the Airfix kit way back in 1976, so I'm looking forward to this one. Maybe this time it won't be used to bomb my HO/OO Japanese infantry or suffer countless crash landings on my bedroom carpet battlefields. Or maybe it will 🤔

Hobby 2000 get sprues from Japanese and Korean manufacturers and add interesting decals before selling the kits at reasonable prices.
