georgeusa Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Interesting variant of the 190. Did the kit come with the radar array? Haven't really seen one done like this before. Thanks for sharing. 1

MDriskill Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 (edited) Nice build - good to see this classic kit done up well. Yes...there were a few different releases of the little Hasegawa 190's (MACALAIN'S night fighter is the 6th from the top in the left column - kit 51305, first released in 1993)! This is most of the single releases with nice box art. There were also a couple oddball special issues, ten double-kit boxings with at least one 190 and fresh decals in more recent years, and a few with anime girls and goofy comic-book markings. Hopesdaddy Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 Very nice build as usual. I'm a big fan of night fighters and haven't seen this one yet. Looks like I'm going shopping soon to add this interesting kit to the stash. 1

Yes it is the one you say. I have also the Nr 1 left to do. In a futur post. Are your boxes full or empty? Alain
2996 Victor Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Very nice - the radar arrays are excellent. I wouldn't mind doing one of these in 1/48! Cheers, Mark 1

MDriskill Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 (edited) You can also build this night fighter variant from the Eduard 1/72 kits. The antennae are included with the common parts in every version of the kit (sprue A). Their flashed-over mounting points (see below) are molded into all versions of Eduard's A-8 wings (sprues C, E, or H). Oddly, Eduard has not done a stand-alone night fighter boxing of the kit. It's covered only as an option in the "Royal Class" release from 2015 - the decals are again for Migge's A-8/R11 "White 9." Sprue C has the correct wing for this particular aircraft (found in the original A-8 Profipack kit, and Weekend and Overtrees "universal wing" releases). Edited June 5, 2023 by MDriskill 1 1

In fact I had used the Eduard parts for this kit, the Hasegawa one used 3 parts instead of one. It was easier Alain 1
