I would be honoured to join in with this GB. Since the invasion, I have added a large number of Ukrainian made kits to the stash -"It's my way of helping the war effort!" when questioned about another kit arriving.

Great to have you with us, the Jockney family adopted a Ukrainian family Mum, Dad, 2 kids and dog and they lived with us for 7 months before we managed to to find them a place of their own

I think your idea of buying kits to support Ukraine instead is genius 

However I'm not brave enough to let my other half know this so, let keep this between ourselves OK

Hey Pat 

i really like this theme made in the Ukraine. I'm hoping to be able to enter this GB. I've got some WW1 Roden kits , and some WW2 ICM kits that need building. I've never tackled a WW1 biplane so now maybe its time too give it a go.

Just wondering if this is Ukrainian enough?

it’s a conversion set for an Eduard bf-109f. They sell two versions , just the conversion parts or this boxing that is conversion parts + donor kit.

I believe this kit has a reputation as being an absolute shocker to build, so can I suggest one or two of these 🥃 to steady the nerves

I think the vast majority of the kit will be the Eduard one which I believe unfortunately is Czech so if possible can you find an alternative please

It’s happened again! In January my Legends of WWII Calander had a Beaufighter, so I built one in the WWII twins GB. Looks like I will be building the Dora Wings Vultee Vengeance in this one as the Calander has decreed. 🙂

Also anyway I am now set to enter, ICM Ghost of Kyiv kit and paints ordered from the  big H, just went with the one kit so not going to try and convert to to a 9-12

This one I'm really waiting for! I also have "The Ghost of Kyiv" in my stash, and although I dislike building jet aircraft, I will try to give one a try again.

 

The second kit, on the other hand, is the one I can't expect to get my hands on now! It's a Donetsk Toy Factory "Frogspawn" Typhoon kit I received as a gift from our esteemed group build host, Pat . Thank you once more my friend! The moldings look surprisingly sharp and the surface detail, what little there is, is nicely restrained. It does have some flash, but that's no problem. The plastic looks VERY smooth but also brittle, like glass. Well, I'll describe the kit more accurately later, in my build thread . V-P

Hello! For some reason I thought I posted to this chat before, but turns out I have not I'd also like to participate maybe with a single entry here. I looked through my Ukraine made stash and the longest living kit there is this:

So why not to enter a competition with a civil aircraft was my thought? And this is a double Ukrainian kit with BPK plastic repacked by Dora Wings. 

My plan is to make the Turbo Porter in Japanese Antarctic colours so that it is definitely a 100% peaceful machine.

Let's see how that goes. 3.5 months should be okay to put it together.
