Just realised the three AFV kits by UM that I have were also made in the Ukraine so no shortage of potential builds in my stash it seems.

I didn't realise till we started this idea for a GB that so many kits were manufactured in Ukraine. 

 

I will need to compile a list won't I !

That is certainly an impressive list. I had no idea that there were that many manufacturers from Ukraine.

I've got a Roden DC-7C (KLM) for this GB.  It got as far as joining the fuselage halves (with a very noticeable seam) so this would be a good place to resurrect the project.

 

Of course if an Eduard SU-27 in digital scheme (Malta 2016) courtesy of Foxbot decals / masks was acceptable.......

Hi Pat

 

Whilst looking for something on Scalemates I came across another Ukrainian company called Iom-kit - whilst most of their stuff was just re-boxing of other companies kits such as ACE Migs, it seems they did produce a Me262 themselves in around 2010. My earlier comments about UM were before I realised it was just a rebranding of Uni-Model!😄

Hi there Pat!! .... ehhh sure why not, the thing is at this time I only have one kit that qualifies and it doesn't look like a 3 1/2 months work, it's the SHU-16B Albatross from Sova-M. Maybe I can get something else before the GB beggins.

Can you help me out with a bit of a dilemma please.

 

I have this kit in the stash made by a company called Toko which appears to be from Ukraine so  will add them to the list at the front of this thread.

 

 

 

 

However my dilemma is that it's in Russian service, I'm leaning towards therefore not building it here as its doesn't feel appropriate. 

 

Thoughts ?

You might find some French options out there.
Or, if you like racers and a little conversion, look for Draw Decals - they have some attractive schemes (though I never tried their product - https://www.drawdecal.com/?s=p63&post_type=product&type_aws=true).

French, American, 1 or 2 RAF test examples, and the aforementioned racing options are open to use if you opt to not do Soviet. Begomot is releasing a new set of decals which is covering all of these. 
 

I have already built a 1/48 P-63C in Soviet markings so will get some ideas from this sheet. I am going to go with one of these as I have an older kit of the MPM mold. Im partial to the US, RAF, and French, and even the Honduran is possible.
