A cracking result, Mark. I'm glad you remembered to post the pictures.

Thanks! It only crossed my mind when I was sorting some pics from the website.  Better late than never.

The model is fantastic, nice job on the exhaust stains!

Photos are also outstanding, could You share a few details about Your lens and shooting conditions?

Thank you.  I’m using a Canon 760D with a  EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM.  It’s mounted on a tripod and I’ve got a mix of LED and incandescent lighting from either side and above.  I shoot on a quite a high f-stop to get a good depth of field and on a 2sec timer to minimise camera shake.  The key is lighting - get good light and the camera/lens combo is much less important.

I use software to clean up the image in terms colour balance - mostly to ensure the pictures all have the same brightness and tone - and to add a small amount of sharpening.

Hope that helps.

Many thanks for the comments, much appreciated.  Cheers.

Fantastic work! 👌

It's an unusual plane in an unusual guise!

Thanks!  I really like the unusual, makes for more interesting subjects.

Cheers Roger, it is an oddly attractive airframe (in my opinion, at least), especially as the German aircraft always look more utilitarian than attractive to me.

What a cracker Mark, like you said the German aircraft do look more utilitarian than attractive generally , but agree this is quite an attractive aircraft, you have done a fantastic job on this one, the paint and weathering look superb . Great work

I´m always intrigued by models of captured aircrafts. Great job! 🙌

Me too.  I’m slowly working my way through the major captured German types.  A 109F captured by the RAAF in the desert is likely next a bit later this year.

Cheers.
