Amaurosisbrown Posted Sunday at 02:16 Share Posted Sunday at 02:16 The liveries of Lancia rally cars have been some of the most striking and recognisable. I’ve modelled my three favourite paint jobs on three of my favourite cars. Lancia Stratos. WRC championship winning car 1974,75,76. Targa Florio 1974. Mid-engined Dino V6 Sponsorship Alitalia I made this 5-6 years ago from the Hasegawa kit. I had plans to light up all the headlamps, so they are hollowed out and the car is full of wires. I adore the Stratos. Such a great looking car, and the Alitalia livery is perfect for it. The kit is the 1977 Monte Carlo winning car (Munari/Maiga) Astounding how small they are in real life. ———————————————————————————————————————————— Lancia Rally 037 WRC championship 1983 Supercharged 4cyl. Last rear-wheel drive WRC winning car The Hasegawa kit is the Biasion/Siviero car entered in the Portugal Rally 1985, in which they finished 2nd. The factory team ran with the classic Martini livery, while the privateer Jolly Club ran with Totip paintwork. Totip was an Italian gaming totaliser (?). I think the orange and green stripes are utterly gorgeous on the 037. —————————————————————————————————————— Lancia Delta S4 Entered in WRC group B in 1985 and 1986. Five victories. Mid-engined Turbo and Super-charged. I remember as a teen reading about the new S4. I could not believe that it was both turbo- and super- charged. It just didn’t seem possible that any engineers would do something so outrageous. Growing up in New Zealand meant once a year we would be able to see the WRC. In 1986 my father and watched these Group B spaceships rocket around Mystery Creek. Few things have left me so gobsmacked! They Lancia’s finished 2,3 and 4th, loosing out to the Peugeot 205. This model is the Beemax kit. It’s the car driven by Toivonen/Cresto on the 1986 Corsica rally (if you know, you know). The Martini livery has been used on Rally, Sports cars and F1. Timeless, perfect. Hope you enjoy the kits. My skills are best viewed from about 1 meter away. The fence mimics the classic Kiwi farm fence, although I used chopsticks, matchsticks and fuse wire (not #8). I may add a Delta Integrale in Camel colours to round out a bunch of Lancia. Also wish someone would model a Fulvia
AlxBNE Posted Sunday at 02:26 Share Posted Sunday at 02:26 3 great models and nicely displayed alongside the classic kiwi farm fence. Must agree with you about the striking liveries on all 3 models.
slippers Posted Sunday at 03:01 Share Posted Sunday at 03:01 Lovely to see and a really nice write-up of each. I enjoyed that.
stevehnz Posted Sunday at 04:50 Share Posted Sunday at 04:50 Those look fabulous, the last one a fitting tribute to both a great driver& his navigator & the demise of the most exciting rallying ever seen. Steve.
Pete in Lincs Posted Sunday at 05:17 Share Posted Sunday at 05:17 Very nice builds with great liveries. Have a search on the tube for The late brake show. Jonny Smith found a company in Holland that rebuilds Delta Integrale's for the road. 400BHP!

Me too, and I've got that kit in the stash to do one day and I hope I can make it look as good as yours - all three are really very well done, but that 037 is my favourite! Three lovely Lancias, top work! 6 hours ago, Amaurosisbrown said: It’s the car driven by Toivonen/Cresto on the 1986 Corsica rally (if you know, you know). Corsica 1985 wasn't too good for Lancia either. Both very sad events. Your Delta is a great tribute to Henri and Sergio.... Keith

Just like this little beauty; https://www.thehairpincompany.co.uk/for-sale/cars/1971-lancia-fulvia-1.6-hf-competition-works-car-(fia-papers) Oh for a Euromillions win....!! klubman01 Posted Sunday at 14:24 Share Posted Sunday at 14:24 Classy models of classic Lancias. Beautifully presented, as well. Thanks for showing them. Trevor
Windy37 Posted Sunday at 16:15 Share Posted Sunday at 16:15 Excellent result of rallying history. Don't those liveries still stand out today , unlike modern over designed colour schemes ? Gary.
Vesa Jussila
Excellent builds as others mentioned. I was always watching 1000 Lakes with my parents and learned to know some local heroes. Later I was there as a mechanic for friends. Stratos is real classic. Sadly that it was not often seen in Finland.
Anteater
A great trio and top marks for choosing the lesser-spotted Totip livery on the 037. Stripes really do make cars look faster!
