28mm Victrix Napoleonic Imperial Guard lancers(+Italeri- 1/72 Austrian Infantry)

The 28mm Victrix figures were a dream to paint,the detail on the mounted figures is so well defined it's almost impossible to not paint them well even for a mug like me,and the horses posture is also well done with some in full gallop and one kicking its back legs,I would have enjoyed just painting the horses on their own.Victrix really are coming out in their later kits with some great miniatures,The last few pics are a few from a box of Italeri 1/72 figures and these are pretty good for the size I did have some clean up on them but overall they are great,and the mounted figure and horse are great,the box comes with 47 figures plus horse I picked these up on a good sale price so they worked out at good value,(Think everyone loves a bargain)

Really Nice Jim,  I  have just brought  the  one (Three  figure)  fret - cant  wait to   make a  couple  to add  to my  Dio.

Im  still   plodding  on with  it  after  a  break  -  still  have another   50 or so  figures to add.

Fantastic work. I like the bases too. I'm tempted to go back to painting some wargaming figures as the quality seems so good these days. I used to do 25mm Ancients and Medieval.

Thanks Ian,yes you will find a lot of the manufacturers have improved and in the Ancients and Medieval you will have a wide variety to choose from,Mate I say go for it.

Nothing wrong with the Austrians, but those lancers are very nice figures very well finished.  😎👍
