Dave Fleming Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 Wonder if I could persuade Glenn to do an RY-3 too….

Says clearly it’s the old Cobra Company kit.
Graham Boak Posted February 10, 2024 Posted February 10, 2024 The important point becomes: was it any good?
Ad-4N Posted February 10, 2024 Posted February 10, 2024 I have resin parts by Cobra for 1/144 C-97s. They were outstanding. Don’t know about the Privateer. 1

Well the parts breakdown is clearly different. The Cobra Company kit has a one piece fuselage for one thing. Maybe they mean they started with the Cobra kit and are making new masters.
Trenton guy Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 I had one of the Cobra kits. Excellent resin. Never built it and sold in on due to tiny vacform canopies and turrets. Beyond my skill to make a good job of so many tiny vac’s. I would buy it again if it had clear resin canopies. The parts shot doesn’t answer the canopy question. Some how I doubt it will have resin ones..

Been a long up and down journey to get this out, but we made it V.P. 3
Ad-4N Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 Tamiya could have my right leg if they would issue a 1/48 version. 1 1

Heck Id settle for a resin conversion or kit in 1/72. The Lonestar/Cobra set has gotten really bad after all these years. It’s worn out and needs to be re-done by the owner or someone else. Ive seen three builds now in the last 3-4 years and each time the set gets worse than previous build.
