Wow, simply stunning Merlin!

Was puzzled a bit by the blue seats, but I guess you will have your reasons!

The simple answer to your puzzle is the fact that the real aircraft has blue seats.

Some of the rescue missions and weather conditions these guys fly in are absolutely nuts.

Not sure any seat I was sat in would stay blue for long on some of their sorties.

I was looking through some other YouTube videos of the work they do.....it wouldn't be possible in a less able aircraft and wouldn't be permitted in many rescue services.

Not sure where hero crosses the line into crazy but these guys regularly seem to walk that line.

Really great build.

I love what you have done with the interior.

Day glow orange paint scheme looks really good.

Was there a lot of conversion work to change the Merlin kit to AW101 spec?

DOH!!!!

Only a 7 page work in progress telling me all the details.

I will hide my head in shame and head over to the WIP thread.

How did I miss this one?

Love the end result. Looking forward to belatedly seeing how you got there.

Absolutely stunning! I've got a soft spot for the NAWSARH, incredible peice of kit that looks fantastic in those colours :)

Pretty sure I've used some of your photos?

I don't suppose you have any of the outer engines exhaust supports?

Thank you all for your very kind comments, it very reaffirming when one manages to pull of a build like this.

Especially as without the help I received from other BM members it would if been a much more difficult task. Technically it's missing a couple of bits as I can't find pics of bits like the outer engine exhaust supports.

I'd love to present this to 330 Sqn in Norway should the opportunity ever present itself.

I know if only three built, two in 1/72 and mine in 1/48.

I was overwhelmed by one of the test pilots from Leonardo last year at SMW saying it was spot on!

Onwards and upwards! 1/18 Harrier GR7....

Steve

My photos are all taken from the inside looking out 😅

I had no idea the exhausts actually have supports! Interestingly, I can't find many photos of that area.
