Ralph Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Latest off the line, and my first Light Gull Grey over White Navy plane! Tamiya's 1/72 'Ford' is a gem of a kit- couldn't fault its looks nor fit! I went for the Cut Then Add Skyray decal sheet because of the Vf74 red lightning bolt and tan radome, but I could be tempted to build another just to use the Vf213 blue and white checkerboard markings! Anyway OOB aside from that; Tamiya white for the underside and AK interactive for the LGG. Ralph 37 1
Hopesdaddy Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Great looking Skyray, another plane I have admired for many years. 1
jean Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 A nice and clean finish of a stupendous-looking US Navy plane. Well done. JR 1
billn53 Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Very nice! A favorite aircraft from my childhood. The Tamiya kit is definitely superior to the ancient Hawk (or even, Airfix) offerings! 1
Vultures1 Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Very smart Skyray and a great choice of markings - well done! 1
Pantherhawk27263 Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 That is a very nice and neat looking Skyray. 1
Darwinism Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Great looking model of a beautiful aircraft - well done Ralph! 1
Learstang Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Lovely job on that Ford! I hope mine turns out as nicely as yours, if I ever get around to it. Regards, Jason 1
David H Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Nice job, Ralph. A refreshing choice of markings, compared to the overdone F4D Skyray cliche paint schemes. 1
