This probably is not new, but I discovered it by accident really. By dipping the end of a piece of fishing line in some paint, I was able to add the smallest dots of colour to add detail to cockpit control panels etc. The shorter the piece of line, the more control I seemed to have.

I use fishing line as CA applicator. I hold it in self-closing tweezers, and the natural curve of the line is very useful for getting the CA into tight spots, like close to biplane struts, just place it in the tweezers where the curve will do most good. Just a quick clip with scissors when the CA balls up on the end and it is good to go again, and cheap.
