LN-KEH
If Dekno manages to make a good representation of the corrugated fuselage and wings by 3d printing, I will be mighty impressed (and a customer).
Rui Silva
Looking forward to this release in 1/48 scale, in 1931 the Portuguese Army Air Arm bought one A.50 for aerobatic training and competition flying, namely by the very skilled Captain Plácido de Abreu, which won the 1932 Cleveland Air Meeting flying his beloved A.50 "Foguete" ("Rocket"). ChristianK
At least one of these even survived until 1945. Here is a captured example with US GIs, said to be in Brandenburg-Briest. Sadly, no markings visible Cheers, Christian

Yeah.. - it happen s when you browse the net on smartphone, you dont recognize obvious things like snow on that photo.... Sadly, no markings visible I have found only written info on that (no phots) that after WWII some German Junkers A50 were found abandoned on airfields of Polish territory . Moreove,r you can still buy one in 1:1 scale in Australia for some 1/3 million of Australia dollars https://www.aviationtrader.com.au/listings/for-sale/junkers/a50-junior/light-sport-aircraft/433 🤩 Regards J-W

And trust to your sense of humor too😁 Photo location is in front of the Santahamina naval air station at Helsinki. 1 hour ago, JWM said: Moreove,r you can still buy one in 1:1 scale in Australia for some 1/3 million of Australia dollars https://www.aviationtrader.com.au/listings/for-sale/junkers/a50-junior/light-sport-aircraft/433 🤩 A replica! If they just could find a more aprropriate engine. Less than 200000 USD before taxes. Not too bad. Real originals can be seen at least at Dwutschess Museum Mûnich or Finnish Aviation Museum at Helsinki-Vantaa airport. I have feelong, that there are some more still in existence but I donät remember where. Cheers, AaCee

About models... I have an 1/72 resin kit of the Junior. One wing is somehow acceptable but the other one wvery thick leading edge, wing profile really strange etc. Cheers, AaCee
JWM
1 hour ago, AaCee26 said: very thick leading edge, wing profile really strange etc. There are two solutions: one is lateral cut of wing, which is very difficult (likely not to be done by our, the modelers, in-home methods) , but the another is one is likely much easier. You can do a silicone forms of both upper and bottom sides of this wing and cast resin in those forms, filling them a bit more shallow then they are. You can control the width of wing by proper sanding inside parts of bottom and lower parts. The wing is very small in 1/72, so the casting should not be difficult. At least you may try and save the model Regards J-W

At least you may try and save the model I was thinking to cut horixontally from leading edge maybe one fourth of the cord and than bent it with heat to a more appropriate profile but as the wing profile in the model is not smooth but consists mostly stright portions it wouldn't solve all of the problems. My another thought was to made an uncorrugated core for the wing with a proper profile and copy the corrucation to a thin foil and gluing it to the core with epoxy so it will fill the corrugations. But after that the other wing would be out of place..., Maybe not worth the trouble as the Dekno kit is just behind the corner. Paul J
I recall making one for a review in SAMI several years ago now. I think it was made by Duarte or someone to 1/72. Resin kit but was a pig to build. Interesting subject though I no longer have the model or pics.
