Graham Boak Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 If you are worried about them (or any transfers) give them a coat of varnish first. Something learned with the water-dissolving transfers on early East European kits. 3
FerM Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 Well guys, tonight I completed my Hurricane in the very same scheme following this beautiful example from our friend Natter... My decals behaved amazingly well, only one roundel fractured but I was able to recover it...just be careful during the transfer because they are fragile, but over a wet and shiny surface, everything must go smooth... 2

You can obviously see my panic as the decals started to dissolve in the water tray (oh come on, you all know I mean a saucer!!) - I ended up masking the police checkerboard stripes which took a while to do. But actually worked quite well! Edited June 27, 2024 by Whofan 2
Graham Boak Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 I think you've just invented a new product for the accessories/tools market. Water trays for releasing transfers. You could set up a sideline selling them for pets as drinking bowls. 3
kapam Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 Beautiful work on the Hurricane! The Irish livery really suits it! 👏👏👏 1
