This kit is Airfix’s finest to date, great fit, nice detail and the stressed skin effect is exceptionally well rendered. Just a fine piece of workmanship in the build process and the finish. The Spit looks great. Thanks for sharing. So just out of curiosity, what are the rules with the red crowbar? Current operational ones red as per regulation. I am not that smart, I learned that here. I am still amazed how many of these are being built, and fast! noelh Posted March 16, 2023 Share Posted March 16, 2023 Brilliant, beautifully built. I don't know why some people get sniffy about warbirds. Many have been around for decades. They are historic in themselves. I watched this thread for a bit, waiting for someone to fall into the red crowbar trap. Entirely appropriate for a current warbird of course. But not wartime. Graham Boak Posted March 16, 2023 Share Posted March 16, 2023 I suspect any sniffiness is not against the joy of seeing/hearing them, but because their often-inventive colour schemes and markings can readily be taken for genuine representation of earlier times, by those who (perfectly understandably) don't know any better.
