Hi Pals.

Considering this model finished, here is the final result that I have obtained.

A nice kit, without a multitude of hyper-fractionated parts, but that maintains a very good level of detail, more than enough for me, I don't forget that at least I do this to enjoy it, and to get something that is nice to see. , not something that is frustrating due to its added difficulty, on the other hand nonsense, because not because of many little pieces, a kit is necessarily better.

I don't remember big problems with it, if anything the front adjustment, nothing that can't be fixed by any average modeller.
It includes a jig for assembling the tracks, but I haven't used it, the tracks are large and easy to manipulate, plus the saggy is "one line", as it does not have central rollers, it is very easy to finish them.

Includes a small set of PEs, more than enough for me.
Copper wire for tug cables.

The decals are somewhat thick and tend to cause silvering, so you have to keep this in mind.

The initial idea was to do something similar to the boxart of the model, a tritone camo, but after trying it, I didn't like how it was turning out, so plan B was a sand color, thinking of a vehicle that had little use.

With a primary red primer (Plan C...lol), I dressed the beast, with sand, and modulating it, then, the typical weathering processes, with layers of acrylic, oils, and pigments.
I have added vegetation on the lower sides of the hull, on the tracks, although I don't know if it will be seen, and some fallen leaves at random points on the model.
Some helmets also on the spare tracks, from different sources, hence the somewhat different size and color, because my idea is that if all the soldiers are different, why not their helmet size and a different tone...? .

In the end, I have not added the skirts, because when I put them on, the silhouette of the model changes a lot, and I like it better without them, after all, with the Kingtiger Henschel (published) that I did some time before, the same thing happened to me, more pieces for the box of spare parts...lol.

Thank all those who have commented, supported, and been interested in the model, much appreciated, hoping that they have enjoyed it as much as possible and find it useful and inspiring for any future planned project.

Many thanks for watching and comments as always.

Cheers and TC

Francis.👍

Awesome! The paint effects are so realistic, in places it's like looking at the real thing.

Spot on! Captures the "massiveness" (new word?) of the original just right. The cam and well-worn weathering sets off the build perfectly. :goodjob:

Fantastic model! That last 'wartime' photo is superb. 😃

Very neat paint job, gentle weathering and real signs of use. Plus the size of this vehicle makes the model look downright majestic.

I can see by the inscriptions on the last b&w photo that the Jagdtiger is standing somewhere in Poland. Exactly between a toy shop and a hair salon and furniture shop :) . In the last days of the war, it is unlikely that there was anything German left standing ;)

Very :goodjob: this time in yellow!

Sweet mother!  I can't tell you what my favourite part is, because the whole thing is gorgeous!  I'm suspicious that you've cheated and just taken photos of a real Jagdtiger you have stashed away in your house...

That the kit looks like a real one, is the ultimate goal of modeling I think...😁

Hi Hans,

Many thanks for your kind words, much appreciated, i'm glad you like it.

I think that the modulation when we use a single color is fundamental, because if not, the model will be flat and without personality, subtracting interest in the end. I try to improve it every time I make a new kit, however when there is camo, the issue becomes more complicated, at least for me...

This turned out great!!! The details are so well done. The overall look of a battered tank without overdoing it.

You've done a cracking job Francis!!!!

Hi Paul,

Many thanks for your follow, like and kind comments, i'm glad you like it.

In answer to your question, I usually use a piece of black cloth, trying to make it as smooth as possible, without wrinkles. I use good double lighting, a spotlight on each side (same type), daylight, about 5500K degrees. I think it is the most appropriate so that the white balance (previously chosen in the mobile settings), maintains the real color of the model. Once the photos are on the computer, I edit them with Photoshop, using the necessary tools so that the background fades, but making sure that the model is not altered, "erasing" or "filling in" with black the parts that do not. It's a bit labor intensive, but nothing special...lol. I also have a couple of sheets of plastic material that I bought on Amazon a long time ago (White, black and I think blue), but although I said it was matte, the light hits and there are shines.... I've recently seen some plastic sheets from the "GREEN STUFF" brand, which are for that, and it says they are "Ultra-matte"....I haven't tried them yet, but maybe it's true and they are what they say. They are not expensive either and there are three sizes.

I hope you find it useful.-

Cheers

Francis.👍
