Rod The Fixer
Hi everyone, I'm going to join to the GB, with this Kitty Hawk kit: by Rodolfo Masti, on Flickr to make this Etendard IVP: Source: www.fox-two.com I need your help about the colors choice for camouflage, I plan to use: for the Celomar 6346-2204 either The Gunze H-305 (Gray FS36118) or the Tamiya XF-53 (Neutral Grey) for the Celomar 6346-2274 the Gunze H-337 (Grayish Blue FS35237 What do you think? To start, as usual, a quick look inside the box: by Rodolfo Masti, on Flickr by Rodolfo Masti, on Flickr by Rodolfo Masti, on Flickr by Rodolfo Masti, on Flickr

Rabbit Leader
That’s a nice collection of parts and the decal sheet looks great too. Now I’m no colour consultant, however would think that FS 36118 (Gunship Grey) is too dark to apply, especially on a scaled down model. The small colour image of the real aircraft above would suggest a blue-ish tinged grey for the lighter colour and a mid grey for the darker one. Colour is always a contentious issue, however having used 36118 a number of times I don’t think you’d be happy with that. Hopefully someone will be on to guide both of us further. Cheers and all the best.. Dave

I’ve read and was planning to use BSC 640 extra dark sea grey (so Gunze’s 333) for the darker grey and yes FS35237 blue-grey (or grey-blue!) for the lighter colour. Biggles87
As blue/grey colours seem to change with the lighting I think you’d be safe to use an approximation if you can’t find the actual colours and if anyone challenges you say it was sunny/cloudy at the time.😜 John

Sam
Ciao @Rod The Fixer, ottimo lavoro! Very very neat construction, and the paintjob is smooth, thin, and clean. And that loooong and thin antenna is still on and unbent! 👍🏽
