Pete in a shed
Good to see a two seater built so well. The darkened recesses on the u/c is very well done. Great result. Pete
rodenlee
Hi all Here's my latest finished job. Sword's 1/48 Lightning T4. Cheers Shaun
rodenlee
Thanks very much Pete It was reasonably straight forward to build, except the wing roots where the locating tabs are too short and you're trying to join a straight wing root to a "coke bottle" shaped fuselage... Model cobber
Very nice neat build. I like the subtle shading on the camouflage. Excellent canopy masking. MC
rodenlee
Thanks MC I try to find a photo reference to base the weathering on...stops the urge to go too crazy! Cheers Shaun
bryanm
Excellent - haven't seen many of these completed. I've always liked the RAFG dark green colours.
SAT69
Much like I like Hunter two-seaters, I like the Lightning two-seaters as well. Yours looks great!

DrumBum
Nice one Shaun, very nice. What did you use to get the shine on the intake ring?
rodenlee
Thanks for your comments everyone. Paul- I simply used chrome paint airbrushed but I think I'll use a chrome marker pen for the next one...I used it for the oleos and it came up very shiny... ExDraken- It was a fairly pain free build except for the wing root/fuselage join. I've got a T5 to do too and next time I think I'll cut of the small locating tabs on the wings and replace them with something longer/more substantial. I broke each wing off at various times, with the port one coming off after everything was painted and decalled!! The fuselage shape is a bugger due to the wider two seat cockpit...
