KingTiger435
I'm on a journey to make the majority of FAA aircraft. So far I have made: Gannet, Martlet, Corsair, Phantom, Buccaneer, Sea Hawk, Wyvern, Sea King, Lynx. In stash: Gannet AEW, Sea Fury Currently making: Harrier and now a Sea Vixen! Still, plenty of aircraft to go of course... Anyway, returning to the topic at hand, the building of a sea vixen! I set about by fixing the dastardly nosecone given by revell/CH It was quite an odd process but it definitely looks more like a sea vixen nosecone now. Then onto the fun part, the cockpit. decently detailed, bar the horrible seats... Luckily, I was supplied with Pavla seats by a friend, much better than OOB, and almost twice as large too! fitting the fuselage and how it's currently looking, an awful photo but I don't seem to have any better ones of how it currently looks... theplasticsurgeon
Ah - the new Revell Sea Vixen kit - and it looks a lot better than the old Revell Sea Vixen kit. I'm surprised to see a similar short nose issue, which I fixed with the back end of a drop tank.

It's definitely better than the old one, unfortunately still quite a few issues on the new kit but definitely workable
Harry_the_Spider
I did one about a year ago. Really nice kit to build. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235104424-cyber-hobby-sea-vixen-faw2-done/ If it isn't too late paint the wings before you glue the fences and pylons on though! Trust me! 1
Ngantek
Good luck with this one, looks very nice so far. I also made one recently (but not nearly so well!), I did write down a few random thoughts about this kit and boxing that may or may not help. Cheers, Andy

But not as accurate as the old Revell Sea Vixen which was a re-box of the Frog Sea Vixen if one remembers correctly. A chap over on the UAMF did a really nice D.3 based on the old Revell Sea Vixen to go with his Meteor Drone models a few years ago. If one reads the post through,he details what is actually wrong with the Frog/Revell kit and how he addressed them and made improvements to the kit. https://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=22159&p=495010&hilit=foxy#p495010
