After doing this

which turned out to be a multicoloured masking tape heavy world of faff, I thought I'd go for something monochrome.

A quick search of the stash unearthed a Rafale M. Which is grey. Very Grey. No yellow trim. No red on the doors. No mustard coloured bits. Grey. All of it.

Obligatory parts shot.

Couldn't help but notice how close the stick is to the seat and how far away the pedals are.

Sat in a spare pilot.

So, either the dimension are a mile out, or French Naval aviators have long legs and short arms, like this guy.

Brief hiatus in the rockery building (we've run out of rocks), so I got to spend a couple of hours on the kit while my wife screamed at the TV in the next room as Man U shared 7 with Liverpool.

Fit is all very good so far, maybe a smear of filler around the intakes, but nothing too drastic. Instructions are a bit "Italeri", so I needed to look at photos for the location of the pods (sensors?) below the canards.

Does the production Rafale have a pitot on the nose? Pictures would suggest no. There's one with the kit but I think it is an error.

Also, if anyone has a half a ton of sandstone or slate that they don't want let me know!
