Popular Post pizzapaolo
Calling this massive flying boat done as it's been a 2 year slog where it sat on the shelf of doom for a year after a weathering experiment went very wrong indeed and I had to re-spray a wing 😩 So I am classing this one as "saved from the bin". With all the crew to paint these 4 engine jobs are a serious investment in time, I won't be in a hurry to build another but I have 2 more of these unbuilt 🤣 I might go back and some exhausts stains and work on the propellers a bit more 99

Wlad
Well, you rescued the kit. Looks great. Cheers, Wlad
obdl3945
Well, whatever your issues in completing this kit, it was certainly worth revisiting... a lovely looking model. I remember the original kit from the mid 70s, which I got as a Christmas present. I loved it then and still do now. Well done... ;-).

NMLeonov
You have made a fantastic model of an aircraft that was involved in some interesting operations during the Pacific War. I agree with you that some more weathering would really make it look like it has been at sea, but there's nothing wrong with a factory-new finish either! Congratulations.

Pete in a shed
That is a wonderful looking Emily. I wish my weathering 'experiments' turned out as well as this. Pete

Bronzemeister
Excellent, and exciting to see! I've probably sold 50+ copies of this kit in it's various boxes over the years, and this is like the third I've seen finished! Well done indeed!

François Escudé
Hi, what a nice build of one of the best , if not "the" one flying boats in WW II . I can imagine the time spent to build this one . And .. you have two more waiting !! So nice to see that I'm not the "insane" one alone in this strange modellers world !! 🤣🤣. pleasure to see this build !! Thanks for sharing !! Cheers !!

The Rat
Beautiful job! I've long held the perverse desire to build one of these, and a Sunderland, swap the paint schemes and markings, put them on a table at a show, and just wait... Yes, it's a sickness. 🤣
